I do agree with you, all these attribute by elementalist that combo with pyro/cryo can be made so much more better such that quick cast can be ignored.

Cyclone alone was contending with Frost Cloud on its 30s CD over say a 2 minute+ fight.
You had to get someone to rain on it to diminish it but again if you wanted to crap over them you just had to move the boss.
ICBT2 was fun back when you could drop Growling to Perma fear bosses.

I think those abilities are pretty good.
The game definitely needs more of them.
I think CryoEle already sort of plays on the Control Ele deal. Its just not valued. I mean effects on things dying are somewhat difficult when you may have mobs dying at the same time so the attribute becomes impractical to capitalize on, which is the shortcoming of the current ones.
TBH I think they should stay as they are, and throw in another set of exclusive attributes.
As far as nerfing It depends on how effective you think/feel certain things should be, and if something goes over your expectation of the power ceiling.
I believe in nerfing not because somethings better but because I think itâs stronger than it should be, that its gone over whats acceptable.
Though that gets harder to judge because IMC seems to beâŚgoing back on their words about making things fall off given their skill updates now.
Cryo 3 Ele 3 was actually good before neutrality happened, in gvg and open field war, even without the attribute.
Seriously, IMC (and the players themselves) kind of created the current meta slowly by removing the viable build in this game one by one.
I donât think the elememe and fletcher 3 was that dominant when neutrality is still not implemented, and when there is no war limit.
Experimenting with crap is a pain when slogging through to 280 everytime means seeing a lot of the same shitty quests especially if youâre not focused on grinding. I wish the Revelation quest stat points were account bound, they should just make it a collection.

Ah, good. But yeah, thereâs just more little things that you could add on to essentially create power from the fact that your build is more specialized than others. To go into others, perhaps certain types of damage typings can gain bonuses or damage; such as Highlander increasing Slash damage attacks or Barb increasing Strike Damage or making Strike damage have a % chance to stun or something. More individuality and power to those who want to make what they want and things of that nature.
@Delcas Fair enough. But that was just me throwing out an idea in less than a minute. Someone else could come up with a good buffing for Eleâs Freeze Property, but you get my point there. Itâd add more branches and possible strength to the game without actually making people who went the route of Wiz3Ele feeling abandoned.
I think Pyromancer is missing an attribute inside their own class rank too.

definitely would like to see other classes get bonuses, understandably though thatâs a long process given the amount of classes we have, assuming weâre ignoring backtracking.
Like Schwarz getting a Double Companion attribute or something if you went Hunter, so that theyâre not incompatibleâŚ
Actually, Wiz 3 Pyro 3 can deal more DPS than Ele 3, provided that they are SOLOING.

The probabilities of IMC considering backtracked combinations in their balancing is fairly low, which makes their future far too cloudy for my liking.
That and Flame Ground while having very high damage output, is a slow burn.
The Cleave change kToS got (slash 50% increase) is a change in the right direction, if people werenât so damn invested in HL 3 already invalidating the minor boost they get from Skull Swingâs armor break and extra points in their 15s cd skyliner when compared to taking 1 circle in barb. Things like these are what makes the community so salty, because people tend to build their classes based on whatâs good right now (otherwise you wonât get any parties because the community is just as guilty of wanting the best party), because nobody knows what IMC could do to make them worse until it happens, and it did, and thereâs no circle resets so players have to grind back to square one every time it happens since itâs always the nerfs that hit hard compared to the tiny buffs you get every week or worse (see: barb to hl transition).
While I agree that buffing other choices is a step in the right direction, A lot of people are sorely affected by nerfs that just makes 1-3 circles not worth the investment, like Ranger 3 because outside of steady aim the non-barrage skills range from mediocre to utter waste of time when you can just press magic arrow, split shot, retreat shot or any r7 skill.
Amen. Meta builds work on whatâs better right now, and since you canât reset ranks people have two choices: ragequit and rant on forums or re roll class.
This game is horrible to belance really. The thing is, in order to balance you have to equalize skills. And game like this ( much like path of exile ) where builds can be different on ridicilous amounts of numbers and also allows this to be done a simple nerf to a skill can kill a build.
This means, that nerfs in games like this will always tend to kill somebodyâs class or reason to that he plays that class.
I personally quited path of exile, because of this very reason. I farmed months for gear and my build, and then a patch later the build wasnât valible anymore, which resulted in my gear being worthless.
I basically had to start all over again. Which mend i would move to the next game. Because whatâs the point right. It almost felt like i was punished for zero reason.
This game has the same exact problem.
With this in your mind, itâs obvious that nerfing skills are not going to land well with the community, as it can break all there work to absolute nothing.
If tommorow a patch comes out that reduces frost cloud damage by 4 times, iâm sure loads of ele/wl1 players will just straight out quit the game. Because whatâs the point. I wasted like 200 hours on a char that is useless now. And there is no way for me to build it in some different solution.
If you nerf a specific class drastically, much like what they did with warlock, they should just reset the chars stats / skill on the next login ( something that path of exile does ). So people can decide what to do from that point.
I tried path of exile but near the end of the lv cap that game is just too soul crushing, spend 5 hours gaining 98% of your level, enter a map, get a desync, lagspike or random crazy chaos doT and bam, those 5 hours are gone in 0.2 seconds, fk that.
Yea, this game is very devastating if you get nerfed, the way itâs set up. A skill reset potion wonât cut it because that doesnât reset your class tree. And starting up a new character is boring as hell in this game because a lot of it is spent doing the same âCollect 5 flowersâ questing, with not enough monsters spawning to make grinding an alternative option for a lot of level ranges.
Whatâs the point of playing a necromancer summoner instead of a swordsman melee-er instead of an archer if all 3 characters are spending most of their time collecting flowers for quests? The gameplay for all 3 characters is the exact same thing in that case!
Then the nerfs come and destroy your build so you get to do it all over again. Hooray.
nerf is fine if it balance⌠but if you change anything in middle of game u need to take care about your customer. likes free reset class of a player who have nerf class. not just nerfed and said âcreate your new character pleaseâ.
I think it not too hard for reset class tree.
just check total class exp>create new item like class exp potion(1 pot per level or 1 pot per exp up to you). reset class to rank 1. give the potion back to that player.
