Bullshit really? That discount has been around ALOT longer than anyone thought it wouldve been. Hell I think it was even extended to today.

The discount was quietly implemented and quietly revoked a few months ago. Before being publicly announced in this rank reset event.

Once again, I’d point out that it has been posted yesterday on the patch note that the maintenance period is January 23-24, 21:00-05:00.
Read carefully next time. IMC don’t like the sudden time and date changes to stand out.

One day in advance really is enough to plan out your whole day when you have other things to do rather than sit your fatass on the computer chair waiting to play ToS. Oh wait, it isn’t, and it’s also not enough to program your mystical box openings to not coincide with the now suddenly updated time maintenance (refer to this thread).
It doesn’t matter if they announced it before, it’s a ■■■■ move to change the maintenance 3 hours earlier rather than extend it 3 hours further because “oh ■■■■ we can’t hit the 6:00 est magical dungeon reset time”. It ■■■■■ way more people over to have the maintenance be 3 hours earlier rather than extend it.
That was ninja edited sometime today. I checked this afternoon and it indeed stated midnight as usual. They’ve pulled this crap a few times recently.

I was actually waking up early to make some money and buy some more attributes and now now I can’t…
Well, sh** happens, gotta wait till I’m home to do it. Since it lasts until 11 A.M. CET, I got time for grocery shopping, though…

You need to read the patch notes more carefully. This is BS, the player dont need to read nothing, stop put work on the player side. The player just need to play, and be happy. Stop this rhetoric.
I know he is complaining, but dont make it appear that is the player job know what is going on all the time. Just as bugs, some players think every player know what new bug or crash is happening, when most part of the players just want to play, and barely come to the foruns, specialy the ones that dont speak english. Stop putting the dirty under the carpet.

Even if they dont announced properly on your perspective, the fact is that any MMORPG can suffer sudden maintenance. (For example, would be better to have closed the server right when the servers started to crash, instead let it go on, then just ban some random players, many that dont even knew what was going on with the server).
Even STEAM itself make maintenance on the weekends. This is normal. Just go enjoy other games, test new ones, or make something good to yourself that dont envolve games.
Maybe you could add that Token players maybe diserve a better reward after the maintenance, since they paid (or someone paid for them) to be Vip and play for a period, and this maintenances consume a little part of this period. On this case, your are right. Still, its better to let they work, than to complain about they doing nothing, or when do, just ban some random players expecting everybody to believe they did the right thing.
I know everyone has painted me as a white knight and all, but this is pretty stupid IMC. Can you not do this crap in the middle of the night when people are sleeping?! Mondays already suck enough as it is.

And no, the maintenance time was posted YESTERDAY. I was talking about it on my guild, which I guess most of you who complains the most don’t have.

ninja edit is a ninja edit, just like 2 weeks ago when the maintenance was extended from 4am to 6am, there was no announcement, they simply ninja edited the times in the thread

He didn’t manage to open, right? Not like it’ll disappear after maintenance. Why are people here always acting like there is no other time or something. Too much complaint. It’s not like IMC will hear ya’ll.

That’s the kind of mentality that will get you nowhere in this game. Why whine about losing 3 millions or a chance on a practonium a day? It’s just a little ammount,etc. Thing is, those things ammount up for a lot. Every day you slack off on dailies you are further away from getting to your in game goals. The same goes for IMC. Every day we get IMC’ed on our dailies is a day we can’t enjoy our in-game goals. It adds up. With the pace that IMC is IMC’ing us this way, always a new reason to lose farming days, it adds up A LOT.
And that kind of mentality is why this playerbase is so hopeless. Seriously taking this game that SERIOUSLY?
Game goals, okay, you got goals. But if you’ll complain on this ONE day when IMC try to fix their ■■■■ together, then I got no more words for you. Unless you all like this buggy game the way it is AND don’t need a maintenance weekly.
PS: Don’t even dare compare this to other game which the maintenance is just 30mins or less. You know IMC’s competence rate is very far away from them.
It isn’t like a player MUST do Saalus and rush dungeons everyday to progress just a bit right?

“It’s just a game why you heff to be mad” argument isn’t sticking since 2006. We are not smelly nerds with nothing else to do anymore but we still like to take our games seriously.
If you read my whole post you’d see I’m complaining about them screwing up on a weekly basis. The first dozens of times they screwed up I let it pass, then I slowly got saltier with each new screw-up. It’s what happens with enough time on the game, it’s why we have the hueknights swarming the forum.
I was a corsair build using Jolly Roger to farm orange weapon materials - so yeah I waited to reset at the last minute to a new build last night and buy attributes after work.
I don’t have all day to read patch notes. Not to mention needing to examine the time it’s taking place. Most people assume it remains the same every week and might be extended. Not randomly changing the time it starts every week.
If they had any sense they would do maintenance in the early mornings. Most people are used to a developer making a big deal about maintenance time changing because it effects their paying customers.

Less need for employees to pull an all nighter every week. You also have happier employees.
You don’t screw over your players that work all day or go to school during the day.
Why are people even defending this? Sure you can say hind sight is 20/20 and you shouldn’t wait to do things at the last minute but as a company they have poor decision making and these kinds of changes can piss off people enough to quit.
It’s just bad management - I can accept my mistake but they need to know this is not acceptable as well.
