You can only join the PvP arena for 1 hour a day?

I always assumed you can join the pvp arena anytime you wanted, but i hear it’s on at a certain time of day for only 1 hour??

what is the reasoning behind that and will it always be this way if that is even true?

where you hear from? onli i know these mode is onli for china servers of any game.

1 hour for every 4 hours i think

If that is true, they better get the level 600 and all the content ASAP or we will get bored as fk.

bro pvp is unbalanced, if u are swordsman or archer and the other team has a priest c3 they will all be imune to physical damage.
and u cant even premade for pvp.

and imc dont say a word…

It’s easy to deal with that, just don’t fight on their magic fields/zones AKA safety zone unless you have CC, they are vulnerable to CC.

no, priest c3 stone skin makes all team imune to physical dmg (its a buff, not a safety zone), and if he/she goes for plague doctors, they can make all team imune to CC as well.
thats why ppl are complaining

PVP is just for the lol… I mean do people really expect a game like RO to be balanced at PVP? Asura strike 1 shot people and that’s all skills right? Merchant, bard classes weren’t meant for combat either. Certain classes are meant for certain things. You can’t have every class equally good at PVP - that would make this game too dull.

Yea it’s unlikely that every class combination will be able to contribute equally to pvp.

However a single class or 2 that break most classes (immunity) is also quite broken. imo.

Psycho cc can’t be negated by pd.

It’s kinda hard to keep a game like this properly balanced, especially if you gimp yourself by limiting it to only a handful of generic stats.

Thy cant make this pvp mose of 5 on 5 arena in a game that have so much classes. Think of lol if you see what your team is in the start of the match only.its how bad its now.

I see people raging at the variety of classes and its respective skills… It makes wonder why do people justify ignorance by complaining? There are jobs better than others for certain things and vice versa, the problem is the execution, which is mostly fault of the lack of skill and knowledge of the users/players.

Besides, this is off-topic to the main post, the real important thing here is the limit on the pvp hours. That is really bad.

Okay this game has 80+ classis and you expect them all to be balanced in pvp tell me this how many defined combos of ability’s stats and gear is that?

Also to add the random factor that everyone’s skill level is different and you talk about balance ahha your asking for miracles not solutions come back when you realise this you silly muffins.

Also limiting pvp is not a bad thing it becomes more desirable and people plan ahead also you can do pve content in that 4 hour waiting time let me use this exsample.

If you had cake every day it would be very boring after a wile from constantly getting cake but if you had cake say every once a week it would be something to look forward to Moderation can be a very good thing to keep things from going stale.

indeed wich the post about “top 50 in pvp” showed - swordy class being in top 3 so he must have a build wich works and he knows how to execute (if somebody comes up with “or maybe he had luck” well then all the wizards and clerics got “just luck” as well - personally cant give any input about swordy classes and how good or bad they are in pvp cause i never even checked their pvp potential at all

taking echo of soul as an example - people complained how overpowered archers and assasines are and how much trouble you got with warriors and other classes - wondering myself how i been ranked 1 warrior (on tank build) for 2 weeks on a 120 win / 4 loss rate ranking top 3 most of the times in terms of overall kills (for those thinking i bluff and who played the game themselfs i been JuggernautGX on EU Requiem)

same as RIFT ( a heavy pvp game) people complaining how overpowered druids are etc etc and how weak warriors - while our guild leader was getting most kills during any battleground ive been in (as a cleric backing up) - tho taking into account we always played premade

so much off topic stuff - but i do agree itll be a tough time for people if we only had 1 hour of time for arena (wich i dont think will happen for us)

I think it’s silly how easily the discussion is derailed from “PvP duration is too short” to “Is PvP worth playing”.

Whether PvP is balanced or worth playing is completely besides the point. There are going to be people who want to play it and people who don’t, and it’s as simple as that.

So instead, focus on the real issue which is whether PvP arena occurs frequently enough or not. I think 1hr sessions occurring a few times a day is fair and reasonable. Done.

True, but this ‘every 4 hours’ isn’t a very good way to do this, especially since we have leaderboards and even moreso if they plan on adding rewards for people who rank in the Top 50 in the future. They should’ve just made it similar to dungeons, by leaving the PvP Queue open 24/7 but giving people a limited amount of entries per day.

If the entry periods occur once every 4 hours (And assuming someone would normally get in about 4 matches per entry period), then give us 24 entries a day. This way, people who can’t stay on for 8 hours every day can get their PvP-fix, and even after we use up all our runs, we can still use the Spectate feature and watch other people play.

what about a nock out system it would put you on a CD depending on how long you lasted in pvp it inspires working to keep everyone alive and removes those people who join pvp to troll and die instantly or AFK.

1 hour if you live in the arena and depending on how long the average match last defines the CD of what time a person died and there performance in the match.
