Yet another i quit thread

I mean, the gap between people who just farm silver for their characters and people who’ll cash doesn’t look big at all. In fact, you still need to arguably farm silver to keep up with those who actually do. As in pretty much every game, cash just helps you get to places faster on an arbitrary level.

Take something like Elsword’s Mount system for example. In which it completely redefines PvE in that game BECAUSE if you want to compete with the very highest and get titles or complete in PvE time attacks, you’ll most likely need a mount because they trivialize mobs and do it while only having to press 3 buttons. In a combo game.

But holy ■■■■ I didn’t know you could read the future to predict that. If those necklaces were future proof then I’d agree but as it is, they’re still pretty crap.

@thebloodyaugust I mean, I don’t doubt it, but flat items will ultimately only just be flat. But you do you man, I don’t particularly have the time to really play the game as I’m focusing on my career so while I come on it’s not as much, but in my experiences with MMOs in my teenage years; this is “just the tip” of the iceburg. Could stay here, or could get notably worse.

I'm also sad Maggi's talents are wasted here tho.

theres more prac quests which give them out for free coming aswell

do some research before doomposting, all of you should be ashamed

kTOS are months ahead of us? and anyone can transcend now due to its restrictions being removed?|

what are you even trying to say?

Hey man, I might not have agree’d with you on everything. (I rarely do agree with anyone on anything anyways for the most part.) Sad to see you go. If you’re joining the Hue side, please join the more intelligent side of it. Which is the small minority. Take care and have fun in whatever game comes your way.

Really sad to see you leaving, @thebloodyaugust. You have dedicated a lot of time trying to make ToS a better game, playing in beta, reporting bugs, helping others and standing up against IMC’s bad decisions.

Seeing people like you, @Excrulon and @greyhiem leaving really makes the future darker for a game like ToS. This may be a war in which we, the players, may not win.

But I have hopes our paths shall cross once again. I bid you farewell, my brother from another mother.

“Its unfortunate that Maggi’s talent is being wasted on IMC.” ABSOLUTELY RIGHT

its sad to see someone would leave this game
its not like you are going to get affected alot by this update. You are most likely just giving yourself excuses to leave the game.

Man up and stay on!

Iv been manning up since the first beta saying it will get better. Here we are how many months after beta, and old beta bugs still resurface everyonce in a while along with new issues.

You know im a bit of a masochist, but everyone has a threshold where they call it.

Sad to see you leaving the game @thebloodyaugust. I’ve always enjoyed reading your posts here.

Kind of at a loss for words after today’s maintenance. Like what @mrshadowccg said, we are fighting a war which we might not win. I’ve always tried my best to stand in the middle to see everything as a whole rather than from one side. This time I do feel that IMC has gave the paying players a bit too much ‘power’, and it is tipping the balance too much, just to exchange for more funding.

Wanted to write my thoughts about it, but kind of tired of writing, since it will not change anything. Sighz.

You know, I find myself thinking… “Why aren’t I bothered by this? Would I even be bothered if the “real” P2W stuff comes?” and every-time I come to the same answer. No, not really.

I guess that’s because I’ve never been a fan of F2P games. I believe everyone should have to spend 12-15$ a month at least to fully enjoy the game. Looking at it from a companies prospective. That and I suppose there is really nothing in ToS that requires you to have P2W items.

PvP: Is and always will be a complete joke. Unless there is some major balance patches, P2W items aren’t going to make a difference.
PvE: Your mad cause someone can do X more damage than you? Sure, I guess it matters in World Bosses, but even that I think is only a small minority of people who even bother with them. I know I don’t.

Most months I’ll drop 15-30$ on the TP shop if something tickles my fancy. Because I believe in supporting the game I enjoy for the time being. Idk. Sorry slightly off topic. Maybe one day I’ll quit myself, but I find myself as I have since EA day 1 looking forward to new Content, patches and Classes. TP shop is just whatever. The only time I will quit is when I feel that the TP shop is 100% required to progress in game.

Well, i hope u have enjoyed playing this game. cos thats what matters most. If it has come to the point where staying on makes u feel other other way then i guess moving on is the right choice

Yeah i feel it too…in my opinion In my server (Tos Ina)
It is very rare for people to queue at 50 Auto Dungeon (means very rare new player)

I see less video post at youtube… Means less player interest with this game

There’s few new real topic at forum… Means theres no something new…only rebalance skill…

Only 100 people online this noon at 1 server

Very few people join TBL every day…average i see only 2 or 3 match (2vs2) each day

Few GvG TBL also…

I dunno maybe its because the game is new… But i see less New Player join this game…
I know a lot of people try to defend this game by saying this game worth to play… But we cant deny the fact that few new player, more quit thread, more or steady complaint thread about this game…

even i LOVE this game more than I Love Ragnarok (play for 9 years), and Dragon Nest (palyed since 40 cap) i guess i need to find another new MMORPG that can match Dragon Nest… Coz its not MMORPG if the player decreasing

Lastly this is my opinion thou…just an opinion

Von Voyage bro. I congratulate you for coming up with a stand on this game.

IMO there are two types of players that felt downed by the gacha/“p2w?” fiasco:

  1. The legit anti-p2w players, worked hard for their items w/o or w/ less cash spent on TPs (I salute y’all)

  2. Those who spent cash “last past few months” (more than average) on buying items ingame (be it via Token selling or other items selling, RMT etc) and are butthurt that the new change will give plebs (no pun intended) more access to high value items w/o spending that much (30tp/10tp?)

**Seen a couple of players on the #2 basket. Greedy fools  Make plebs great again! Equality for all lol. And yeah, they can spend more but that’s not our problem :stuck_out_tongue:

Hope to see ya around!

Riding the positivity train… hope that the new event brings IMC more budget to improve the game. (and yes, I’m just hoping here)

I’m a non-competitive semi-hardcore player, personally I don’t really care much about min-maxing nor getting top ranking in pve/pvp. I just play to enjoy. The thing which I care more about is more of the balance of the game, whether both paying and free to play players can get to enjoy the game without too big of a gap and the balance of the players against pve content.

Not everyone is like us able to fork out $ every month on a game. I dropped like 60-80 per month on the TP shop, mostly on costumes and tomes as I tend to reroll numerous times. This is something which I do to help a game which I enjoy.

Currently the item which kind of makes me have that unbalanced feeling is the Superior Psychic Band.

https://tos.neet.tv/items/600013

It is a bracelet which has +90 spr. It makes me realise 2 things, how important SPR is and how OP (overpowered) the 2 spr bracelets are when paired together. This makes me wonder the way IMC balance power between p2w items and items which are attainable by the non-paying masses. The gap of power between these bracelets and other P2W items is just too big. 90 stat per bracelet is nothing to scoff at. It will also make PVE content a lot easier for paying players to clear.

This is currently tested with my guildmate Gem who tried out 2x +90 SPR bracelets on his SPR priest. Look at the amount of resistance gain. I’ll try to see if I can find someone who has no invested SPR and splurged on the bracelets to test tomorrow.

How much SPR did he have? PvP Swordies will love this.

The +20 stat necklace were kinda OK since we at least have something in-game that matches it albeit at a deficit. +90 is just f*cking OP though.

Good. More gachas for the rest of us.

If that happens count me in

I’ll let you know tomorrow, it 's nearing 3 am here and my friend has slept. And yes +90 is very OP. The TP shop necklace power level is still not too far of a gap, at least imo.

Edit: cross post the extra findings here.
