XBox 360 / XBox One Controller

The Xbox controller needs a bit more support. It doesn’t seem to be able to be used in most menus and also the tutorial it still wants you to use the keybord for things like teleporting back to the quest completion NPC. No big deal, but it should be noted.

I’m using a 360 for this game and the only thing I’m missing is remaping some buttons. Overall, though, pretty solid.

I was surprised just how well the Xbox controller works with the game, and how flawlessly it transfers from keyboard to controller as you like. Its slightly cumbersome to have to switch back to keyboard for menu navigation, but overall its working extremely well for a first-time go.

To teleport back, press the select/back button.
To rest, press R1+R2.
To use menu, press R1 + start to activate cursor mode.
To open map, press L1 + select/back button.
To use quest item, press L2 + start button.

I love you, i was thinking of creating a Thread asking for this, thank god i used the search function

Just so there’s no confusion here. I understand that you can teleport using the back button, but it doesn’t remove the prompt from the screen during the tutorial. It still wants you to press backspace. But, I do thank you for the shortcuts. I didn’t know about half of those!

The only gripe I have about the controller layout is how there are no buttons to access skills/inventory/character stats. It’s very tedious to enter UI mode and have to click on the buttons on the UI to access those menus. I think it would be great if they assign the directional arrow buttons to those menus since in my opinion, you really don’t need both the dpad and the left stick controlling movement.

The controller works well, but I still need to use my mouse for a lot of stuff, like clicking on some quests and getting off menus, attributing skills/class points, etc.
