Xbox 360 Controller being wrongly mapped

I use a wired X360 controller, And often, it is mapped wrongly!

A is mapped as X, B is mapped as B, Start is mapped as L2, back is mapped as R2; and so goes on.

I really don’t get what triggers it. Sometimes, the game starts already this way. Other times, it change the mappings while I’m playing.

It fixes on its on some times (when I alt+tab, or change maps).

The controller works flawlessy in other games, so I know it’s not it.

Does someone experience it as well?

What I see from my Logitech f310, if your controller use x-input …it become that, a very wrongly mapped controller. While if your controller can use d-input, it mapped correctly. HORRAY FOR D-INPUT! …Then again, they really need to put controller’s configuration faster >.>

That is a weird thing. I use an original Xbox 360 controller from MS and it works flawlessly.

Is yours also MS?

Try searching outside of ToS, maybe the controller is broken, wire ect or the usb driver doesnt work properly.

Best of luck

Yes, it’s an original.

And as I said in the post, the controller works flawlessy in any other game, I made sure of that.

just in case …try to verify the ToS files via steam (verify integrity of game cache) assuming the one that’s broken is the xml file.

Just did a fresh install, trying to solve another problem (ipf files broken)

That solve neither =/

try this to rebind the joystick hotkeys:
