I’m currently a Archer1 > Ranger2 > Wugu2 and I was wondering what would the best weapon for a Wugushi-focused character be. I heard some people say Viper and whilst others say xbow + Manamana.
Have there been any testing done to prove which would be the better option?

You start off by casting all your dots with a superior wreech bow.
You them swap to your secondary which has your elemental damage. Viper is better for pure Dotting, but xbow + mana-mana provides you a higher dps when you use your non-wugu skills.
Obviously when you have a cannon or musket build involved and can’t swap between 3 weapons, the best weaponw ould be xbow + manamana since it provides overall more dot damage from physical attack and elemental proprerty damage.
With some minimal testing earlier although may not be exact;
Needle Blow
1 poison damage per tick : 1 physical attack
elemental damage 1:1 (additive)
Wugong Gu
1 poison damage per tick : 1 physical attack
elemental damage 1:1 (additive)
Zhendu
No scaling at all from physical attack
1/2 poison damage per tick : 1 elemental damage (additive)
So if you compare the ratio to Lyralei’s spreadsheet,
You can see that even with an arde dagger, superior kracked shooter already outperforms viper for both needle blow and wugongu. Only for zhendu will viper perform better but that’s also the weakest and slowest DoT for wugushi.
tl;dr xbow + manamana > viper
Poison damage ticks does do 2x as well on flying monsters with 2hd bow.
