The person that is interested in a gem trades the item they want the gem placed in. The person with the gem places the gem in the item, then trades the item with the gem back for the agreed upon sum.
so basically to make the best end game gear you have to risk losing your best rare gears to scammers, what a lovely system we got going on lol
