Meridian 59 was the first 3D MMORPG.
oh wow and here i thought Rangarok came before WoW.
Runescape. Because I know.

I’m so sure this is a troll post XD but here it is anyway. @coldreactive is correct in stating Meridian 59 was the first MMORPG. Not the most popular so it isn’t as spoken of, but definitely the first.
No, I said Meridian 59 was the first “3D MMORPG” not MMORPG alone.
tibia and UO were released in 1997
See? It’s older than WoW.
Well, it was released in 1995 and I can’t think of an older option in general for a mass appeal MMORPG, so if you know of something, go for mentioning it.
Nope. Lord of the rings was a text-based BBS game that came out around the same time DOOM did, and then theres Runescape/Deviousmud and Helbreath… late 1998ish, then after that was Ragnarok Online and Priston Tale, etc
Warcraft I, Warcraft II Tides of Darkness (which was the first game to ever use SVGA), then the first Warcraft 3 was cancelled, and remade as Frozen Throne and later they made World of Warcraft
Nope. WoW was the first.
