Would you guys like to see the game become more alt friendly?

I feel like for a game thats biggest draw was all the different builds you can make, they could be more alt friendly.

Changes
. Shared adventure journal, map completion and kill counts.
. Untradeable items becoming tradeable to alts.
. Let us buy a stable with silver that gives companions there own set of slots so we can have more characters.
. Team level raises faster and/or gives more exp bonus per level. More bonus exp if you’re leveling a class that you already leveled.

Benefits
. People could level faster. More alts, more fun, more experimentation.
. Potentially less complaining about endgame since you can make alts without being slogged down by mq, kill counts and map hugging, since you could have fun experimenting with different builds and play styles easily.
. Potentially less complaining about rerolls since you can level even faster with bonus exp if you are making a similar class with a few tweaks.
. People could actually get all quest items in adventure journal. Encourages making alts to add to your overall acheivments. Helps people who sold quest rewards before logging them in journal.
. Stable idea helps imc and players a lot. If premium pets ever come they will be able to sell more. They could sell stable skins for tp. More room for alts could also lead to people buying more costumes for said alt
. Companion classes would no longer feel heavily restricted due to their class choice.
. Additional silver sink in buying the stable. Maybe make pet slots cost either tp or silver. Seriously idk how they are planning to make money off premium companions if they restrict the space for them so heavily.

I am interested in seeing how you guys feel and wanted to offer some suggestions i think would be nice to see implemented. Do you think the games alt friendly enough? Think it needs to be more alt friendly? Have any ideas of your own? See problems with my ideas? Share and discuss

would be nice to have an option for alts to not repeat side quests that you’ve done before and add all of those exp cards to monster drops instead

Meanwhile, you can’t even transfer silver to your alts.

I enjoy alt friendly games. GW2 does it the bestestest. Gimme love plz, IMC.

I think for silver it should be better if instead of being for each character it was account shared so all the silver you get with all your chars is saved in like a bank account instead of individually, that way you can use your silver with all your chars without problems.

@ganobo yes :o i forgot about the silver. It bothers me less then sharing untradable items between alts but it would definetly be nice to inject silver into an alt for early attribute + pot buying. I don’t really see this restriction being more then a minor hassle for bots anyway and it definetly doesn’t stop them.
@Avidity I can see this working as well but i’d rather see the quest system stay the same but become way more optional for alts. I think it would work better to give more exp in other places so you can choose to skip annoying quests more easily as your number of alts grows but leave them there so people can choose to do them and gain extra benefits. It would give a nice sense of progression as you make more alts instead of flat out saying you can only do these quests once and then have to grind for cards. I want to make grinding a viable alternative to quests but not make one greater then the other. Also i don’t know much about coding but it might be hard to make mobs drop the exp cards that belong to sidequests.
@FateTurns yeah i agree, it is a chore. I don’t mind doing it once but i don’t look foward to doing it for all the alts i want. I also feel instead of enjoying the beautiful art i am ignoring it to stare at the minimap to make sure i don’t have to go hunting for little pieces i missed.

its not our part to worry about code

we spam suggestions and imc quietly picks up on it, if they deem it being good

i really like some of your points and that directions if IMC willing to go towards that direction. I have a total of 9 char slots (7 char & 2 pets) So not just me and im sure there are few who has tons of alt characters. At this point i really wish to see things like less questing but more of grinding alternative. Questing in this game sometimes is a little painful especially it gets really repetitive when you have so many characters.

And on the side note, collections is account bound which prove pretty beneficial somewhat.

@fairyflamer7 The shared collections originally made me think adventure journal and all that stuff was shared x3 I’m glad you like the suggestions, i’m hoping leveling alts becomes easier and more fun as well. The quests can indeed become annoying and i’m honestly not looking foward to doing them over and over again as i begin my alt army, leveling alts should be fun and grinding is fun for me so i hope it becomes a viable alternative to being forced into questing.
@haukinyau housing and farming would be amazingly awesome but this topic is more about making alts easier and more fun to level n_n

I like the shared adventure journal idea, but id like to be able to still get xp cards for completing them on a new character. If you mean that you automatically get all the xp cards on a new character, that feels like too much tbh. Maybe give 1 card per exploration and somehow give 1/2 of the amount from kill achievements if you want it that way.

Im for untradeable items being tradeable through team storage too, other than quest items.

Stable for pets that you can upgrade with silver is a good idea too. Still think its dumb to take up character slots. 1 pet is ok, but what if i want 5 pets?

The only thing im not sure on is the team level raising faster. I think its fine… However if they do your stable idea and they take away the pet lvl adding to team lvl then they could make it go a little quicker.

i feel at least maybe IMC should consider putting 1/8 to 3/8 exp on exp cards to pets upon usage. You dont forget pet max lvl is at 400 as of current ITOS.

And also to the point of team level, instead of just exp %, they should also give other stats like “main stats % or secondary stats %”

what does this mean. i thought the journal did everything itself?

@gringe @haukinyau i was thinking you’d need to visit the map and kill at least one monster and it would enable you to get the exp card, sorry i should have put that in originally. You wouldn’t not get it neither would you get it instantly. Some classes are just hard to level and even harder to do the kill counts on. Also most people don’t do all kill counts immediatly so it’s meant to be a more cumulative thing. If you do all the kill counts on one character i admire your dedication and have no problem with alts reaping the rewards of that x3 I think it would help a lot of build choices to level easier as well as help skipping quests on subsequent playthroughs. Also some of those kill counts are painful x_x
@fairyflamer7 ah yes, i forgot about the poor pets getting out leveled. I see no problem with exp cards being shared with pets too.

I’ve got an idea, what if people gets the option of removing all side quests in a map and giving all the exp cards at the end of the main chain quest of the area?

idk but i still feel increase mob density is still a better option imo
