swordsman>peltasta>hoplite>hoplite>corsair>Doppelsoeldner>Dragoon?
how good would this be? get both buffs from dopp and corsair. and 2 different loot type skills.

Don’t take corsair if you’re not taking c2 corsair. Waste of space.
Do sw>pelt>hop>hop>corsair>corsair>doppel (i’m doing this too)
Or just do sw>pelt>hop>hop>hop>doppel>dragoon and use a 2h spear.
what would you recommend. looking for a build on first character that is great for solo farming alot of silver. then after I can boost alts that are like good pvp but not so good at leveling and such.
does not have to be a swordsman class. thoughts?
Can’t really tell you much about PvP, I’m simply not interested in it at all, because PvP in ToS is completely unbalanced, so it’s just not something that I would enjoy.
Builds that I suggested I made for myself to thrive in PvE.
For PvP tips, wait for someone else to come by. In general though, you want stuff with crowd control,Invincibility and other utility skills, while also having a decent damage.
It’s best to look for something with those features and figure it out for yourself.
sorry may have mis typed it. I am looking right now for a good silver farming character so that I can get rich and MAYBE LATER make a pvp character.
most games I try to make an efficient farming class first then anything else next.
sw>pelt>hop>hop>corsair>corsair>doppel
is really good in that case, and CAN go PvP by dropping points from j.roger later and taking iron hook and keel hauling for the cc, also getting Long stride from hoplite as a gap closer, but you need to quickly swap to 1h spear + shield in order to use long stride.
Here’s my build
And I’m pretty much going just for farming with it. Making changes that I’ve mentioned above to it would make it more PvP focused.
EDIT:
Also yeah, in doppelsoeldner, you would drop double pay earn and put the points into mordschlag.
don’t care about pvp at this point. is doppel better than the t7 dragoon?
also. the “money making” of corsair and doppel seem good on paper but how well do they work in actual practice?
so how does this whole build compare with doppel vs dragoon in 7th class?
Well, dragoon is more of a boss killing class. AT LEAST it was designed for that, doesn’t mean that they balanced it enough to actually be the best at that.
But yeah, it gets a passive bonus for 2h spear that lets it deal 20% extra damage on large type mobs and 10% extra damage on boss-type.
However, I wouldn’t go for corsair with a dragoon, and I wouldn’t play dragoon with a 1h spear, for obvious reasons.
I did make a dragoon build as well for myself, it’s one of the 3 setups that I wanted to play as my first character and decided to go hop>corsair>doppel first.
Dragoon will probably be my 2nd character and this is what I’ll be going for
I still think that corsair into doppel is better for fun farming and gaining more stuff per kill. While 2h spear Dragoon with this setup is more of a HUGE burst crits build, thanks to Finestra level 15, giving you an option to go full strength, thus dealing much higher crits than what a dex build could ever hope to do.
oh so corsair cant use 2 handed weapons? is imposible to combine corsair and dragoon? sad cause i thought dragoon armor set look kind of cool. all the t7 sets are cool.
so how well in actual practice is the “double xp/loot” and the “loot flag” actually end up working out?
Well, it’s pretty obvious. I mean, you won’t be making God knows how much more than others, but you will get more.
It wasn’t really possible to go c2 corsair and doppel in previous tests, so I don’t know. I played corsair just a bit on a friend’s account (I played a monk and some other classes last time on my own account)
Wasn’t really paying attention to j. roger at a time, just wanted to test dual wielding.
Anyway, should be a decent extra earning when you look at it over time.
well sounds good. worth to try out anyways I guess. as far as damage and survivability how is this for soloing mid/end game stuff?
i don’t really know much about game. but what is usually better for xp and/or silver?
bossing, aoe grinding or single target grinding?
You can just look up videos on the class gameplay on youtube to see how they perform. Looking at boss kill videos is usually the best way to determine how’s the damage, survivability and so on.
For XP, it can be doppel or it can be a wizard tree setup with thaum thrown in the mix to increase the xp gain, but that’s more of a supporting class, but you can definitely go with an offensive class like pyromancer and then add thaum later for extra xp.
For silver, it can be corsair, or you can just go with a crafting class and earn that way. Or simply take a class that’s extremely good at just farming fast (though, with how the spawning is currently in ToS, killing faster is kinda pointless, I hope they will change that soon)
what classes would be extremely good at just farming fast?
