So how exactly does world boss drops work? the party that did the most damage? last hit? Top 10 damage? Can we can some clarification because i honestly don’t know how its fair for anyone who front lined or healed for a hour only to not get jacks at the end. Would really like to know if certain activity in game is a waste of my time so i can avoid them in the future

top 6 dds and their groups get cubes
if you support a good dd, you’ll ALWAYS get a cube, even without dealing any damage

I’ll explain the Group rules, Dullahan is the perfect example because there’re always people there trying to get a Cube.
I was told that it works like this: The Groups that did the most damage to the Boss get the cubes, but there’re some rules. For example:
If 2 Groups do 50% +/- equaly of dmg to the Boss, they get the cubes
If 3 Groups do 33% +/- equaly of dmg to the boss, they get the cubes
if 4 Groups do 25% […]
Maybe it’s possible to go far and more parties get the cube, but it must be really hard to do it.
BUT, if 1 single party do more than 70% +/- of dmg Alone to the boss, Only this group will get the cubes.
If someone in the Group dies, all damage this person did to the boss is Reseted and the party can lose the cube.
Correct me if i’m wrong somewhere
yeah i just don’t understand like if you’re a solo player who heals through the entire fight and then you won’t get a cube? Its also far more likely for archer or wizard classes to get cubes than swordsman who have higher chance of dying since they’re in the frontline always.
This is probably the only thing i disliked about the game atm. Other than this i thought the game is pretty darn good.
It’s very complicated for Support Classes, you need DPS to collaborate with the Boss hunt and guarantee the cubes.
I have a character just for boss farming and another for GvG/PvP, i would suggest you to do the same while they think about the situation. Maybe there’s something the devs can do to make it easier for Full Suports… @STAFF_Max ? Just saying.
thanks for the clarification. Still, it’s a hit-or-miss even if you have a party. Like if you get a group of 5 and 2 of your teammates are dying constantly while you tank through the entire fight you might not be able to get the cube either.
I think as of now world boss hunting is only viable for dedicated hunting parties and they can pretty much monopolize the drops. I don’t exactly mind that. If you have the resource and the connection to build a team of people specialized in hunting world bosses you deserve all the loots.
The only problem is, the people who aided in killing the world boss pretty much gets nothing. Maybe a little exp, but nothing good enough to justify dying repeatedly or spenting a hour to kill something with a gazillon HP.
If the boss award everyone who dealt a certain amount of dps or give everyone in the vicinity when it dies a few exp cards or enchant scroll it might be worthwhile for people to help out.
Fighting world boss can be fun i guess, but it’s not something you’d want to go back to if you know you’re not likely to get anything at the end.
