Before we go to the mechanics on how they spawn, lets identify first these bosses.
-
World Boss: These bosses spawns on channel 1 and alternating between maps. (i.e. Violent Cerberus - Royal Mausoleum 5f/4f , Velnia Monkey - Novaha Annex/Novaha Institute/Novaha Assembly Hall)
-
Field Boss: These bosses spawns on all channels in a single map (i.e. Earth Archon - Royal Mausoleum Storage, Necroventer - Residence of Fallen Legwyn)
-
Jackpot Boss: These are like jackpot mobs version for World Bosses, they have the “Green 4-leaf Clover Buff / Jackpot Buff” when you hover your mouse on the boss.
World Boss are bosses that has median message, 2 hours after it was killed. This mean that when you encounter the message, the world boss will spawn 2 hours + 60-120 seconds after the message first appeared in that specific map. After maintenance, all world bosses are considered dead. But this doesn’t mean that the time the server was up is also the time where the boss died. This is the reason why there are players that camp for message after the maintenance. Also note that there are instances after the maintenance where world bosses spawned without the median message. Happened twice on my 3-4 months of boss hunting. And, also note that World bosses disappears (dies) if it wasn’t damage for 2 hours.
WB: Cerberus, Mineloader, Ellaganos, Harpeia , Firelord, Veliamonkey, Ferret Marrauder, Prison Cutter, Chapparition, Deathweaver, Helgarsecle, Marnox, Mirtis, Rexipher
Field Boss are bosses without median message. The only way you can make this boss spawn is by camping a channel for that map for 4 hours where these bosses spawn. We consider a channel is dead when the players in the map is 0/100 (you can see this when using an addon) for a specific amount of time. Haven’t tested out yet how long does the server consider the channels to be dead. There are also cases during first spawn (first spawn when you started camping when the channel was dead 0/100 ) where it spawned earlier than the supposed to be 4 hours.
FB: Canceril, Archon, Necroventer, Marionette, Dullahan, Templeshooter, Glackuman, Abomination, Kubas
Jackpot Boss these bosses are just like the jackpot version of normal monsters. Only world bosses have a Jackpot Boss version. They only appear after a specific condition is met. I don’t know what it is though, but if I guess it would be the map activity of that map. I rarely see a jackpot Cerberus but mostly Jackpot Harpy. So we could safely say that it appears when a specific number of monster kills is achieved.
JB: So far, I’ve only seen this 4: Mineloader, Cerberus, Ellaganos, Harpeia
