Bug Description :
As everyone know since open beta tests, the patcher window doesn’t show any text at all. This may happen only with higher desktop resolutions (mine is 1920x1080). Searching on the internet, some players identified that increasing the patcher window’s image size causes the text to begin appearing at the bottom side of the patcher window.
When the patcher window is resized and the text finally appears, it is all written over previous messages, like if nothing was erased before new things are writed on screen. This causes a complete mess that can’t be read at all. I attached a screen of this.
To make the text start appearing: at the game folder, under steam/steamapps/common folder, go to the TreeOfSavior\release\patch folder. There you’ll find a “main.bmp” file, which is basically the patcher window. Open that image with your image editor of choice, and resize it. The horizontal dimension must be set to 1000 pixels (to me, was proven to be ideal). Save and exit. Next time you start the game, the patcher will be bigger, and text messages will appear at the bottom, blank portion of the image.
Steps to reproduce the issue :
-
Do the above steps to resize image
-
Open game from Steam (not doing step 1 will cause text to not show)
