It sorta doesn’t make sense. I always though the whole concept of “mages” using staffs was weird (im guessing they “enhance” their magic powers) but most if not all of them in series, books and movies have a melee weapon, or at least can use one (archers too, tbh).
The cryo, linker, thaum, chrono melee mage is dead.
