Any thoughts on a support wizard tank, I am thinking of going either wiz3-linker3 or wiz2-linker3-thaum. What are your thoughts?
I think you are gonna have a bad time outside of instanced dungeons with only wizard’s offensive skills.
Maybe you should try Wiz > Pyro > Linker > Thaum > Linker > Linker
Cryo’s subzero shield has been buffed crazily on kcbt, it is like assumptio now and even better since it reflects damage so you should definitely choose cryo for tanking. But i don’t know if you can tank as a wiz … And if you can get enouph aggro.

Im going Wiz1/Cryo1/Linker1/Thaum1/Sum3 with full Con. You can turn Con into Int. Summon (using Int for dmg) and then remove the buff turning Int back to Con. Then you need a heal though =/
The popular one is Cryo2/Ele3 with full Con and Shield (cryo shield attribute). You just stand in your hail, icewall stuff, live forever.
Either way if you want to be tanky I recommend Cryo1 for the shield attribute and possibly Thaum to convert Con -> Int when you need to solo farm or have damage.

can you get subzero shield at cryo c1?
is there a shield attribute you get at c1?
for wiz tanker i would advise taking Thaum2 for decen def/mdef buff from Swell Right Hand for any party member that have shield equipped. Maybe Chrono2 for evasion attribute from haste. But yeah, keeping aggro will be a problem.
I tried this up to Thaum (almost C2 Linker) with 2 CON: 1 SPR
Perhaps having too much CON at first, but once I got Thaum, I can switch around.
Not as good DPS as pure INT, and not very tankable in dungeon. You can consider Cryo in place of Pyro for the CC instead, but building as a tank, you may have little offensive skills. Furthermore, the SPR does not help much in MP regen.
May want to consider Featherfoot in there XD
The self-heals from Featherfoot may help with Transpose when you’re solo, and even if it is interruptible you could just proc surespell beforehand (Since you are considering multiple circles of Wiz as it is).
Oddly though your C3 Wiz-> C3 Linker would probably do well enough to tank without even an election into Thaum though, and a later election of Featherfoot could still heal nicely. Not to mention… have you seen those vids of linker + featherfoot? Ridic heals. C3 Wiz would allow you both a high sleep duration for PvE and PvP, Linker’s HK is also amazing CC, and you’d be able to Lifeline or Spiritual Chain (even if you have to use a Daino scroll) etc.
In the end there are quite a few viable options regardless XD

the reason to do 1 thaum and 3 linker is to spirit chain and lifeline giving my party full int then transposing changing the int to con for the full transpose duration.
i like the idea of cryo now that subzero shield is usefull.

i think i have decided to try wiz-cry-link-thau-link-link. what are your thoughts?
Goes nicely if you plan to tank or use Physical Link. Also can switch to full offensive by equipping dagger and Transpose-ing your con to Int.
if i go thau2 ill prob go wiz-wiz-cry-cry-thau-thau
Why Wiz2 ? Cry3 or Thau3 or Linker or Sorc or Necro or Chrono are going to be much better in my opinion.
lvl 10 reflect shield, surecast, and most of all 1circle closer to wiz3
reflect shield pretty much useless and your build don’t have any skills with long cast time for surespell. For wiz and cryo you either go full C3 or never go at all, most of their strength lies at C3 :.
i think ill stick with
wiz
cryo for shield attribute, and pike
linker for joint penalty to make it easier to lvl
thau for transpose and outfit
linker 2-3 spirit chain and lifeline
i would be very tanky and be able to give my party full con or if i solo be very capable with lots of cc and good damage
