Wizard is boring?

Yesterday, I were watching a video on youtube of a player playing as Wizard, during the beggining of the game.
On the same video, the player were doing the initial quests, until I saw something that bothered me.
Normal attacking of wizard have a loooooooooooong delay between each attack, making the char very vulnerable in combat, summing also that the first quests throw you without any initial skill to fight against several monsters.

The Wizard and it’s slooooooooooooow magic attack were having several problems to defeat those monsters, had even to evade the monsters a bit to try to take them out one by one.

Then hopefully he won the fight, and unlocked a cool skill, earth quake.
I thought now the class would be better, then I kept watching the video, and saw the same hell damn slooooooooooooooooow wizard attacks because the skill were on cooldown.

And to worsen the things, the boss fight were very sloooooooooooooooow because of the slooooooooooooow wizard attack.

Is Wizard really as boring and annoying to play on the beggining of the game like on the video?

Maybe you’re right but I’ll play as wizard someday… Sooooooooooo cool ;-;

Watch pohx play wizard and you will think otherwise. You can animation cancel if jump decreasing the delay time.

I think Pohx is playing as swordman right now

See if he got any videos from yesterday on twitch or youtube

You actually get your first skill point on character creation, although new players may not realize it. Newbie wizards can take 1 point in Earthquake and Energy Bolt right away to clear faster.

I assume that will change as you level up and distribute stats to appropriate fields.

they rather stop that possibility and decrease a bit the delay to balance, its just clown fiesta to see everyone jumping in gameplay vids, thats just not funny anymore

I actually like him, just also agree the delay time is bit high.

Well, either way, I believe the “Death Stare” of the wizard class, or even all classes (the little delay after they attack) should be reduced a bit, and since players begin with a skill point, maybe the quest that asks you to use a skill point, should come before the part that makes you have to defeat the wave of monsters.

I honestly think all the fun classes are slow in the beginning. STR cleric to get paladin or monk is slow as well, especially in the early levels.
