Wizard, Cleric and Overall Game Feedback, IMC Please Read

First of all I would like to say thank you so much IMC for allowing me to test TOS, it’s the game I was always looking for and will be playing for years. I played every second I could and enjoyed it till the end.

Now to my feedback, let’s start with the Wizard

Ever since I saw TOS I wanted to be a wizard. I mean, who doesn’t love magic, am I right ? So many great and powerfull classes, cool combinations, It’s in my opinion the class who could be a real contestant for strongest DPS, but how it feels right now, it honestly feels like pain. Don’t get me wrong I will still be playing as a wizard in OBT, but it felt really painful sometimes. It was like somehow game told me that this great class came with a great consecuence. Issues would be HP, SP and silver for starters.

HP

I felt very weak and very strong at the same time, every single time I was in a new map area, or old lvl area too, it felt like a contest to try to kill every mob in sight as fast as I could cause if I didn’t I would be hit very hard, each an every single time, specially those monsters that attack from a distance and no matter what you do you can never ever get away from the hit, they hurt a lot, It was pain for my wallet too, I didn’t have so much silver, a lot of it would go to potions all the time, I needed a lot, I needed many, SP and HP both, all the time, with every hit I would take. So it was either kill this mob really fast or pay the high price. And even if I tried, I would still get hit very hard and had to use HP pots, not medium, not large but concentrated, and even so, sometimes it wasn’t enough.

I have to add, that I made the terrible mistake to choose cloth and raise cloth mastery and was mostly always using full cloth. As I said, I felt strong in a way, but mostly, it was very uncomfortable, and sometimes, I want to explore alone and go in adventures by myself, but this made it very hard. Even if a lot of my points went to CON, I had almost 100 points of CON at lvl 200 and still had to go through these issues. It’s an issue in pvp as well.

Also then I discovered wizards are not supposed to use cloth, I, saw literally no one full cloth or even two pieces of it, cause it simply is not that great, every player would always be plate or leather, why would they make cloth then ? I’m definitely not making that mistake again in obt.

It’s a little bit sad the fact that I’m crazy to get to rank 7 just because featherfoot can auto regenerate HP, that would literally end the issue I’m having here. But I’m not sure if the point is to choose a class because you like it and synergizes well with previous classes you have picked, or simply because you are just going to need it or game will feel very, very, very, hard to play as a wizard, mostly solo if that is what you prefer, like me. I love the freedom this game intends to give to the saviors, but I feel is caging me to party all the time, even if I don’t feel like it and just feel like exploring this and enjoy my char.

Basically I’m going to be wasting a rank just because of this issue, and not because I really like the class, I just don’t want to go around suffering in every map for every hit I take, sitting down like crazy, drinking and carrying so many pricey potions all the time 24/7. In my case, I would be losing 2 ranks just because of this issue, that brings me to another point I want to discuss for wizards.

SP

Honestly pain at higher lvls… unless you become a sorcerer.

At rank 4, when I was in a party, I would have to sit down eventually for long, to get sp, not even using pots help that much, watching everyone else continue grinding or questing. Spr didn’t also help that much. What trully helped was getting to rank 5 and becoming sorcerer, and like my previous point, I became one not because I wanted to use my ‘‘summon’’(I barely used it on fields) But for the SP regen attribute and also the Servant SP regeneration cat buffer.

After I did that, I never had to sit. I could freely continue to grind with my party or dps maps without having the need to sit for SP, potions finally seemed like something normal and not an every other minute thing, bongfires too.

Again, it’s still kinda sad that the game forces me to choose something because of necessity and not cause you really want it, but it did solved my SP issues, and for what it seems, featherfoot will solve my HP issues, so if this continues I’m going to have to follow that path, but because of necessity.

Cleric

Did not played this class so much, but me and a friend got together one character to Monk C1 lvl 158.
And compared to the wizard… wow, playing a cleric felt like a walk in the park, it felt so easy, so relying, like, if what I really wanted was to be a cleric in obt, I would be really happy… but sadly I love wizards.

As a cleric, this character had very good equips for lvl 120, and it felt very strong, he never ever has to sit down for anything, hardly uses potions and if so, it would be sp, I was lvl 158 and still using small SP potions, and not even all the time, as a monk the only price I had to pay for skill was stamina pills which are very cheap. No bongfires, same killing speed as my wizard (except for bosses) it was a little mindblowing how well and nice it felt to play a cleric in comparison of a wizard, it wasn’t stressing at all, getting hit was no big deal, there was no competition on who would hit first between me and a monster, it was just simply playing and enjoying the game. I love wizards, but it really needs more improvement and balancing with other classes. Like a lot… (imo)… xD

Questing

(8) Why you hiding… why you always hiding…mmm OMG, STOP F!!! HIDING!!!

It was uncomfortable to look for NPC’s for quest, I’m kinda OCD a little bit inside so I had to go make sure that I was done will all quests and all that more than once.

Those type of quests where you sometimes had to search for certain item and interact with it several times depending on luck to either get what you need or not, were very annoying and made me lose a lot of time also.

But it was fun exploring honestly, it makes the game a lot more fun, really nice job IMC ! We don’t really see many games like these, it’s very unique in my opinion.
It would be nice that some more random stuff would happen while you are exploring maps from time to time tho.

Awakening

Really all I have to say is that this system could be brilliant but it needs some improvements because so many stats that are just floating around in so many different equips, that at the end it was a little confusing and just didn’t even know what I trully needed.

Boss Difficulty

Too easy unless it was dungeons or field bosses I believe.

Market

We don’t really want to click sell just to see our own items on the inventory.

Dispeller

Great in PvE, just horrible in Pvp.
I don’t know if this feature has been removed from pvp, but it mostly affected us wizards in a 90% compared to other classes. In my opinion it felt a little bit like cheating, why ? cause hello… it mostly affected wizards, why ? cause we use spells to attack and you are using a dispeller ? Duh. To me is like taking the sword from a swordsman.

And people would think that it’s cause wizards have too many CC’s but it’s a lie.
I fought many people of all branches of classes that were not using dispeller and I was defeated by some of them. Why ? Cause they know how to use their classes and they are strong. So there is no need of dispeller more than some wizards actually not being able to use their own skill points in combat.

I think this should be removed from pvp in my opinion.

Potentials

Auch, all I have to say, this feature is not nice u_u

Companions

Way too expensive, also bad AI, and doesn’t help that much in battle.
It’s a little bit unfair only a very few classes can mount companions, it would be nice if at least 1 class of every branch of the 4, could mount companions or something like that.

Overall

Hey, I’m hooked for life to this game. It’s beautiful and amazing, it has so many diverse classes, exploration, actually finding nice things on the field and so many more things like scenery and BGM.

I think it needs a little more balance between the classes, specially wizards, they needs some love.

Thank you everyone who read my post and I hope IMC did too !

Thanks for creating this game and please continue to listen to us and do your best to bring out the best game you can, I appreciate it.

Regarding Sp issues, I have reached lvl 200 on my wizard without any Sp problem and in the end I restat to have no Spr at all. I didn’t go sorcerer either. There are so many items that give you +Sp regen and when your Sp regen is above 200, the Sp problem is gone. There are many ways to ease the problem.

  • You could try to use a more mana efficient spells for example JP, flame ground, Frost cloud, skeletons, etc. and don’t spam too many filler spells that is not very effective.

  • If still have the problem, try to instantly sit every 10 sec and your Sp regen can be almost double.

I think classes that will have more Sp problems in PvE content are the PvP classes such as Wiz3, Cryo, Psycho, so if you pick those classes you kind of need to accept that.

Regarding potential there must be a consequence for any stuff upgraded in games if there is no slots or chances consume in the process of upgrading it ems it would be a spam $ fest. Think of it as gambling your item to be better or worst in a sense won’t be fun if everyone has plus 20 and above without any risk right?

I went Psycho yeah, no class should be affected by this issue

Psycho is considered broken for PvP in Korea. If you have advantage on PvP side of the game then may be it is fine to give up on the PvE side.

But I’m just circle 1…

ok, that wouldn’t affect PvE actually, what’s your build?

And are you solo player or leveling with parites?

on icbt 2 I went Pyro, psycho, pyro, sorc, necro

I liked playing solo doing maps and party for grind, mostly cause it was more beneficial and it was very hard to do it alone

If you use flame ground lvl 10, you can kill almost every single ground monsters in the Sp consumption rate of 116 Sp per 25 sec. Just cast flameground in the middle of the room, jump around it while using your auto attacks to draw aggro of more monsters.

If you need more damage, don’t use psychic pressure on a group of mobs less than 4, fire ball is more Sp efficient.

Don’t use telekinesis, swap, teleport, magnetic force, energy bolt, earth quake or other useless stuffs. They are waste of Sp for PvE unless you have high Sp regen to afford them.

Use summons carefully, Sorcerer’s summon drain a lot of Sp if your Max Sp is high. Other summons sometimes spread out monsters and it becomes more difficult to AoE them so use them wisely according to situations.

Find a party with Peltasta or Linker to grind effectively.

Thank you, but I already mentioned above I hardly used my summon.

Also you are telling me not to use my skills, why don’t you tell me to just don’t use this class xD
Magenetic Force is a circle 2 skill.

I know how to use flameground.

I know how to play and how to use my skills, SP was not an issue after I went sorcerer, it was an issue before. As I explained above.

Also I am probably no longer going to go for pyro c2, but thank you so much for your advises, have a great day !

It’s funny how I had exactly the same feeling when I created my alt priest after my wiz.

As a priest, you just walk along maps hitting everything you see, without having to think ‘omg there are only 1 -2 mobs… I’ll have to skip them cause my fb will be on cd after just 1-2 mobs and I will waste time and sp’
