With a heavy heart, I have returned my founder's pack for a refund

Nice blog, OP! Where can I subscribe?

Completely agreed with everything OP mentioned

Trade Idgaf about trade. Marketboard serves my needs just fine.
Its the bloody spawn rates that are driving me nuts.
Trade is whatever, the majority of things people want to trade right now are crap and they’ll outlevel them within the hour.
Almost no money needs to be spend on anything save pots/teleports prior to the 100’s where equipment will start lasting long enough to actually make it a decent investment and I know the vast majority of people aren’t there yet.

The OP’s responses though are still valid. It doesn’t ■■■■ anybody given that Feedback is there for a reason, you’re not sheltering anyone. IMC’s community reps are supposed to manage the community, so let them worry about it. If you’ve got things that the game should improve on, voice it and open yourself for approval, critique and disagreement.
Sitting on thumbs or hiding in the background of some 3rd party petition site is goofy.

I only spent $10 so no biggie for me. (^: But he’s not wrong.
There’s so many glaring problems and recent MMO’s are trying to combat RMT’s with NO trading…it doesn’t work. It makes the game boring as well. BDO doesn’t have THAT much RMT’s and it’s b2p, but this game technically right now is B2P and there’s a ■■■■ storm of RMT’s. It’s sad. This game has a lot of potential and it’s really fun…but them thinking knocking trading will help anyone, doesn’t.
The Marketplace…I dunno why I am only to sell 1 item at a time?
The re-spawn timers are ridiculous…In the Mine area I had to walk around 20 mins for the ? troll.

Yeah, i’m also really frustrated and OP is right, let’s all refund so IMC get their ■■■■ together. Remember the game is free to play and 1 month won’t hurt.

I’m now very hesitant on whether I should continue to invest time and money on this game. :joy: I already paid $50 that I can’t get back though.

I love the game. But how it’s being handled is going downhill fast. Trade restriction was fine with me, until I realized that there ARE classes reliant on trade system, and gold sellers are still dropping my FPS despite my high end graphics card. Meh.

I tried to refund but already have more than 200 hours of play because I have played in previous beta tests, so, Steam denied my refund request. :sob:

Those classes that heavily trade (this is an overstatement, these classes will typically be dealing with the Marketboard, as they do in Ktos).
Are rank 5/6/7. 98% of the player base is not rank 5. Let alone 6 and 7. Trade complaints are basically extrapolated thought or people who think their low level equip is actually worth anything when you can go from 1-75 in less then 10 hours of game-play. Most things traded currently straight don’t last long enough to matter. The few that do are basically players being scammed out of potential earning becauses they don’t realize Mithril Ore for example will be worth an arm and a leg in 2/3 weeks, and are selling it to the people who realize that it will be going for a million momentarily.

Trade is like the least important ‘issue’ Especially for everyone under lvl 130 though they may not realize it.

I had previous hours in beta too, I just specifically said in my request that the previous hours were in a beta and that since then the game has become unplayable. Granted I didn’t have 200 hours, but how it’s all setup with Steam is odd and at a glance it looks like you already have dumped 200 hours into the game since the beta client and the normal game client are the same in your library.

Extrapolation of issues is absolutely part of what’s going on, but that doesn’t make it invalid. There will be plenty of reasons to trade at high levels of this game and people have every right to believe they’ll reach that portion of the game. Just because it has less impact in the start doesn’t mean we should pretend there’s no impact at all. Furthermore, nevermind that yes items are replaced quickly at the start, the idea is in the feeling behind the lack of trading. Not being able to trade the item that drops now, or the one that upgrades it in an hour, makes the game feel anti-social. It makes the game feel like a single player experience, that the game was never meant to be played with friends.

Let’s say that you are right, and actually in my world right now you are (I haven’t used the trade system yet, ever… maybe only once in CBT), it’s still not doing much and is just adding this inconvenience to the game. The problem it intends to resolve still persists. It’s just doing more harm than good.

to be honest servers feel like beta. They should do a poll, like how they did with the packs. And ask players how many are willing to go with a Server reset, so that the can choose the best server for themself. I still believe they should have at least one more server. I could imagine when it goes f2p @_@

I didn’t say invalid, its just one of the smaller issues.

On the topic of anti-social.
Doing things with other people is obviously social.
Dungeons, Missions and World bosses are group content.
2/3 times a day (instead of the regular 5) and World bosses on their significant respawn times. That’s already a limit on the “activities” you can do with each other.

Now Open world is something to do with other people, but then Open world has terrible spawn rates which leads to people doing nothing and often at times competing with other people (sometimes more then 10) all for 1 or 3 mobs.
So instead of a grinding party you’re on your own.

Trade isn’t even the big perpretator because the whole game in itself doesn’t give you much to do with other people because of several limiting factors where your socializing is basically sitting their talking about w/e (presuming you’re someone who is comfortable or adept at conversation which some of the audience obviously is not), because there is a lack of things to actively do.

That’s a dillemma players will run into right out of the gate, but trades ramifications won’t really hit them until 130+
primarily because most players will be accommodated by the sales on the marketboard which is fairly accessible

Problem? Sure? A significant one for players where every 15/25/35/45/50/50/50(translating to 15/40/75/120/170/220/270 levels gear changes? For the first 120 levels you’re gaining new equipment so rapidly any money you put into them is a bad investment (except Niche rares like Vubbe Fighter Gloves…but good luck acquiring those with the spawn Rate).

I think its good to give your feedback about trade but I’m very surprised how big a deal players want to make it when there’s significantly more detrimental things at play currently. Though a lot of players are just reaching 50 now so they may not have realized it.

I just wanted to tell my respects to those who bothered to read the opening post. Over one page long ramble about an unknown player’s reasons why he decided to refund. There’s no proper emoji to express myself so I’ll post this turkey again: :turkey:

That’s called EMPATHY, friend. We’re all suffering from the same plague, and one of ours just died.

Id refund if i could…
honestly i think IMC will not allow the Trade 1:1… they just dont care.
and im pretty sure they CANT stop the gold sellers/bots.
and this is only the early PAID access… i cant imagine when it goes free.

its gonna be a mess. :S it seems that IMC maybe also short staffed. Little to no Mod or GM activity. ah well.

Not sure if you know this, but you paid for access to a beta. The game is not in release.

I see, well that makes sense as a stance then. The other issues you describe are indeed big ones. And I agree about the spawn rates especially.

I don’t believe trading is part of the smaller issues when something so simple as “hey, can you lend me 2k for me to buy some x?” can’t be done. It’s unacceptable.
