Im probably going to start out with mouse control, since i’ve been dying to play something like RO1, maybe as i play i might try keyboard or gamepad and see if it works better.

One question,how will someone communicate within the game using a gamepad? Voice chat would be an obvious option, but can the type-written communication be compensated?
You type with a keyboard. I mean if you’re on a computer, I’d assume that you have a keyboard in front of you. The gamepad is in your hands and the keyboard + mouse are near your screen or directly in front of you.
i only play with joystick if its a console game or playing with an Emulator

Im gonna try both of them and end up with keyboard and mouse anyway.
As swordsman, gamepad for sure, Wiz and Archer keyboard + mouse. The big reason i want the gamepad is cause with this amount of skills Im not confident i can accurately press the skills i want when they are beginning to be all across the keyboard, not dexterious enough.
So, i’m having problem playing this on the PS2 joystick.
I’m using a usb adapter, and it works almost perfectly in this game, with only some buttons switched in.
Seems like the only way to adjust it is by editing the hotkey_joystick.xml file. But still, i’m having trouble with it.
Is there someone kind enough to share the adjusted file?
I’m sure it will help people who did not spent their money right, by buying a 360 controller.

As a warrior going to play with joystick(Xbox 360), its easier and comfortable. If ever I decide playing range classes will go back to mouse-keyboard.
