Joystick is the best option!

Moving and playing with the joypad sounds great, but i´m worried about how aiming skills and attacks will feel/behave, specially for archer-type classes.

I will try both and see what I like. My fear is that the joystick wont have enough buttons and the keyboard won’t control as nicely. We’ll see.

I hope that by the time that TOS is ready, Valve had already released the Steam Controller and the Steam Link ;9

Nobody will defeat the Keyboard with its power…
Do not forget the Mouse, it’s his important Waifu…
Other devices are merely accessories…

It’s really fun playing with joystick, but for MMORPG always used my favorite set that are keyboard and mouse for additional shortcuts and hotkeys, then continue with them.

Keyboard all day. Mostly because I am interested in seeing what the Devs initially intended to be the main way of playing.

I’ll try with keyboard and mouse first since that’s how I played RO, but I’ll see how their gamepad feature is. Some companies get it right, others don’t.

I like the idea of gamepad for ToS. I worry it won’t have enough room for all the skills, but I just want to have a good time & enjoy myself.

I guess it depends on the gameplay they will adapt to the keyboard. Wasn’t the game originally designed to be used with a gamepad?
I’m mostly wondering about how targeting with a gamepad could be better than with a keyboard + mouse but I guess we’ll see.

I’m too used to using all keyboard at this point. The mouse almost feels like a foreign object to me now, lol.

I’ll use keyboard provided the interface for that works well. I really didn’t want to use Joystick though, because of my difficulty for aiming with those things.

it depends of how many skills you can use

Keyboard, unless the game is blatantly better with a controller. :pig:

Since the gameplay looks a lot like 2d TERA, I think I’ll give the controller a shot. However, I feel like the mouse will be much quicker with targeting and casting ground spells. As far as everyone concerned with there not being enough room for spells - don’t worry about that. It looks like they’ll have 4 sets of 8 skills (4 via each crossbar, changed via the R/L1 R/L2 buttons). I feel like that’s plenty, and what you can’t do there you can always set up via keyboard.

with a keyboard undoubtedly

Keyboard, I might give the joystick a chance though.

Might try controller since hotkey selection doesn’t seem too restricting!

I’m used to keyboard and mouse so the obvious choice is keyboard and mouse.
