Steam refund policy is only allowed if you have played less than 2 hours and purchased within 30 days. Most of us have had to wait in ques longer than 2 hours. I feel ripped off because this “early access” is only an open beta that you made us pay for. You just announced that you would be resolving the server issues after early access. What’s the point of that? I would have just waited the month if you had been honest and upfront about the “early access” being a beta to test out bugs before launch, aka open beta. I’m having to wait at least 30 minutes to an hour to even log onto the game, the chance of a statue teleporting me to my destination is about 50/50, and when I try to talk to npc’s it requires me to constantly switch channels in order to get the windows to pop up. Fun game but terrible launch, I’m very disappointed with how this early access is being implemented.
They didn’t MAKE you do anything, you chose to purchase. In fact you signed a agreement saying that on steam by agreeing to your purchase.
Beyond that this happens with like 80% of mmos on release this is no surprise and shouldn’t shock you have been through other mmo releases, but who knows maybe your young and this is the first.
I don’t remember other companies saying they have “everything figured out to make sure the player:server ratio will be perfect, to avoid queues and give good gaming experience”, like they did in their news.
It’s called false advertising.
They didnt make you buy it pal…
except every game ever did say that.
I remember few launches, and I don’t remember any company being as cocky as to promise that everything will go peachy. And even if, they fixed issues pretty quickly as they appeared, and compensated well. With TOS launch all i have is the feeling of regret about spending 100€. I guess this distinguishes good companies from amateur ones. :’)
I feel cheated also. But yeah you were influenced to give them your money.
Almost all of them. Mind you not a exact quote but they always say it will be fine in some manner.
By that logic every company is an amateur and that would make blizzard amateur cubed as they ■■■■ up EVERY release they do without fail.
I apologize for the confusion. “They didn’t make you pay” for early access, yes they did. I am not saying they physically forced me to purchase the game. I realize some of you read and understand things differently. So to clarify again. In order for us to gain early access to the game we had to pay a fee. Since the game isn’t free to play yet. Hope that helps.
But blizzard is a company that’s “trusted” either way by the playerbase. They may screw up, and people will still come to them and willingly throw money. A new company should try harder to please their playerbase, to make sure they’ll stay. I don’t see it working here.
To not mention Blizzard having the best customer support I’ve ever encountered. I remember getting a free week of WoW only because I’ve asked. All I’ve got from ToS support was an automated copy-pasta PR ■■■■ that didn’t make any sense in regard of my question, with the wrong username of a random player (definitely not me) in the header text.
The lag and such reminds me of icbt2 but you did agree what you payed for. They are working on getting everything stabalized im sure. I may a little more biased when I say im used to it. I can see why you would want a refund but it is what it is.
I played the beta, it wasn’t as bad as it currently is here.
I did as well, which is why I was excited to play.
Actually the beginning of ICBT2 was EXACTLY like this. Exact same problems.
And how did they fix it? The same way they intend to fix it right now? Wait for 50% of the playerbase to ■■■■ on their game and go away?
Because thats exactly how they fixed the beta.
And with the lack of any communication right now, they seem to think that tactic is working.
