Will you be a Girl or a Guy?

wait…is woman playing as a female character still ok? cause she will get special treatment too, right?

also how is me bringing orientation into this (which was simply parallelism) not fine but you gender roles is?

Getting offensive, eh? <3

I love you’re paranoia about the government, and would love to hear more about how they killed your dog, but I don’t really have time for that… Nor is this the thread for your weird, non-sensical, junk about them censoring hipster created lingo/definitions. If you can’t find a trust worthy source, well… You can just say so. No need to get your panties all twisted.

Ideas? Since when did I have ideas? The only person talking about “ideas” is you.

In games like this, with cute graphics and detailed outfits, I play as my own gender. :two_hearts:

I usually play as a male in games with realistic graphics (like BDO) because I like having a cute twink to look at or a hot bara. ](http://irowiki.org/cl/images/4/4c/Slur.gif)

I usually make a male character that represents me then the other chars work differently for me…

It’s a bit hard to tell haha… my other chars are kinda close to role playing because I always imagine a backstory behind them and that’s how I choose their gender… but actually I’m not role-playing with them… I just control them… (Also I always state I’m a guy…especially if the situation is getting awkward haha…)

It’s more like when I play with Lara Croft…but I still don’t think of Lara as myself…

Also I like to dress up both male and female characters in games if it’s possible…and I have fun with it.

Just because you can’t understand something doesn’t make it wrong.

Let people do what they want. If a guy wants to play a female character let them. How does it exactly affect your life? It doesn’t matter what their reason is since they might vary.

If you don’t have the balls to play a female character cause it threatens your masculinity thats your problem, you don’t have to ridicule others who do.

I mean if a guy plays a girl, it’s not really much of a big deal. I think it’s due to anime making lolis, teenage chicks and sexy mamas overpowered. Guys nowadays don’t really want to be like Luffy or Naruto, they want to be like Nami and Hinata.

In Blade and Soul, it was so cringe-worthy when I kept getting paired with a bunch of lolis and chicks, and they act like those “anime girls,” and I definitely know most of them are dudes, no way I can be the only guy in the party and that Blade and Soul is played by 90% girls.

Oh man Blade and Soul was one of those games where it was so overpopulated by chicks and lolis that I could not find my bros anywhere. I kept getting dudes acting like “Oo kawaii, owie the monster hit me, look at my cute cat, hehe”. It felt like I was in a fricken harem like in Akame Ga Kill.

I don’t really care if guys play guys, but it’s so cringey when a male weaboo plays a girl and act as if though they’re like some girl from an anime. But eh, weaboos make everything so cringey.

… I will cringe the day I meet a Corsair that acts like Luffy, and being Naruto fell out of style a while ago.

You are one to talk, Mister Horse. It would do you good to re-read what you said.

Ahh such a wonderful discussion!

Lets wrap it up:

Regarding @Vaeltus
Clearly he has an opinion on what he thinks of males playing female characters: he doesn’t like it. As everyone is free to have any opinion he wants he’s pretty much free to have any opinion he wants, even if you get offended by it. You are all free to tell him your own opinions ofc and offend him with that. But seeing phrases like “he can’t understand” when he clearly can, but just doesn’t accept it, is just wrong. He surely got his reasons for thinking so, which are obvious. He’s a sexist. lol. On top, a rather smart and aggressive one, probably fearing to be sexually attracted to an “avatar” who could possibly not be female for real.

Well, sux2bu fellow. Deal with it. You can’t help it and everyone (me included!!) is free to play any character HE wants. But I’m respecting your opinion nevertheless. I just don’t care at all lolol

At least so much for his opinion. It’s pretty much obvious he expected you all to become furious about his post, being ready to counter anything with more offending stuff. What do they say? Don’t feed the trolls!

@Senpaikunchanperson I’d advise you to not only investigate about terms properly before just trying proving them wrong (and trying to prove the source wrong), just don’t start fights you’re obviously not able to win. Just be glad everyone here is actually on your side xD

Okay… mhh some justifying here and there… hey there’s no need to justify anything. Just do whatever you all like, who cares if someone doesn’t like it

I’m sometimes roleplaying as a female just to fool males. I bet mr sexist would get a trauma meeting me ingame :imp:

Okay first of all you’re the one who is ignorant and simple-minded here. I did not bring sexuality into the discussion.

I don’t care if you’re gay or not as it would not have any effect on the matter, gay people can be just as ignorant of this matter than straight people or anyone else.

Your attitude on the first post simply implies that you think you are better by not playing female characters as a guy, and somehow it’s okay for girls? Double standards hello?

I can see very well beyond gender but I’m not sure if you can. Just because some people may use it as a way to gain attention doesn’t mean every guy would do this. Just because someone does something wrong doesn’t mean that others can’t do that at all. It’s also a fact that not all guys make female characters to gain attention.

It’s also funny that you can’t respond to arguments appropriately but that is something of expected from people like you. I’m pretty sure your kind of people cause more problems in the world than my kind of people. Also don’t patch me up with other posters before me since I wasn’t complementing them nor have you seen me post anywhere else about such matter, I can’t really be repetitive.

I wasn’t trying to “Win” anything. >_> Wikipedia is known for vandalism, especially of sexually charged/weird terms. To use it to prove a point is un-acceptable for many people and projects.

Two: In five years of gonig to the weirdest websites I have never heard that term. In over ten years of interacting online with thousands of different people and sexual orientations… Nobody has ever used that word to refer to themselves, or anything they did/do

Three: the fact that he uses such a suspect word in a derogatory fashion makes it even more suspect.

So, yeah, it’s completely normal for me not to believe that it is a real term <_< Just gotta clear this up.

Pff don’t be silly. You obviously got pretentious bashing someone with a toxic opinion together with everyone around here and automatically assumed everything he’s saying to be nonesense anyways.
You were careless!

Ofc a girl because im a… Girl?

…I think you’re trying too hard, right now. -_- Same goes for @Vaeltus

Not a fear of pixels, mate. It’s a matter of expectation
I’d be careful using morals here, clearly being a sexist at the same time. Especially using absolutes like “right” or “wrong” are pretty dangerous in an argue about personal opinions and tolerance, if you’re not overly religious, a fascist or a sith lord~

An avatar is simply pixels. Nothing to be afraid of. And seeking romance in an online game… come on, buddy. That’s a whole other issue. Which DOES tie in to the point I was making, but I won’t get into that right now.

I'm not sexist at all. Women can be equal to men. As long as the main character of a movie, tv show, video game, or anything similar isn't a female, I can play it. If any of those things have a female leader though I can't touch it!

Not because I'm sexist! Nope! I just dislike females in lead roles for games/movies/etc.

<3

I'm an Atheist for the record. Since you mention religion.

I’m a man. I’m gonna play a cute girl in game 'cause I like the costume. But I’m also gonna play a cute guy 'cause I like the costume!

And whether or not a closed-minded fool believes that’s my reason for it isn’t really of any concern to me. :V Anyone can think whatever they want. I’ma be the one with the cutest fencer ever in the end. :3
