It’s a really great way for IMC to make money! almost all MMORPG games has it! (ex. Guild wars 2, Tera)
i like some stats of weapon in this game, but i HATE how underwhelming they look
vs some crappy stats weapon but they looks pretty awesome to equip around.with

An alchemist can change weapon skins with briquetting.
oh… i didn’t realize that was a thing alchemist had >.>
how come no one use it? plus… it has a bit of negative benefits :V
(never mind i looked up, briquettes is possibly one of the worst/useless skills to level up according to other alchemist)
Lol yeah but I do use it to change skins! Some skins are much cuter than others. But your idea is good to have skins we can buy.
Most of us who’ve had an Alche3 early on only learned it up to Lv1 then got the attribute for appearance change (+ or - 5% only):
I made these back then, now you can’t do that anymore:
Lv220 Skin (Spada) applied to a Lv170 Venier
Lv75 Arde Skin on a Lv170 Small Crystaras
Still good for things like these though:
Lv315 2HSword applied to another Lv315 2HSword
it still should be good to buy some NICE looking weapon skin from tp shop 
there have some restrict for Briquetting that Lv of sub item must be equal or more than Lv of main item (and can’t be use to shield)
It fine if IMC make weapon skin like another game does ,make it cool and make it shinny.
