Corsair/Assassin/Outlaw
my friend was wondering if this works because these are the classes hes the most interested in
we are both new
Everything works in rebuild as long as you have good gears
where would the skill points go
sorry but when i click on that link its stuck on installing tosguru
close and re-open that tab.
Get hassias at least at lvl1 for the evasion bonus.
Or level 15 for future proofing.
Weird combination, but it could work I suppose.
What do you want out of the character and which is your core class? That can usually help you pick the other classes or the skill build that you’ll be aiming for.
If it’s silver farming and corsair is a must I’d usually recommend SR. But maybe dagger is a must for you, if so you’ll want assassin. Outlaw is a pretty good class to round things off, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t better.
If you want to make money off of corsair you want many fast hits so you can proc pillaging. This usually works well with AA (again brings me back to SR), but if you’re looking for dagger closest you’ll find is skills that have many hits in them. (Hexen Dropper, Mangle, etc). High AAR and high hit count on the skill.
corsair/outlaw are a must but assassin was just because my friend didnt find anything else interesting is “melee”
I try to provide here just what I see as the ‘core’, whatever is left is up to you. Below is my explanation of why I picked it. https://tos.guru/itos/simulator?tinyurl=y8p8pe7a
If he wants to go melee then assassin is the best third choice.
The way I’d start is categorizing the classes based onw hat you want, what he wants is DPS, Melee.
Best DPS classes in Scout tree:
Assassin, BM, (SR)
Support classes (fill out the class set):
Squire, Thauma, Linker, Enchanter, Rogue, Outlaw, Corsair
If he’s already decided on 2 support-ish classes then that’s it. The reason I call them support/fill classes is that they don’t have enough skills or enough AA benefits to be a main DPS class IMO.
Assassin:
IA & Annihilation are amazing. Behead is pretty meh from what I’ve used it. Piercing Heart has huge benefits in certain areas. Hasisas will help your autos between your cycle (and nice +20% evasion)
Corsair:
I personally haven’t used DWA, so maybe it’s great for your build, he would have to try it or wait for someone to chime in. Brutality is amazing, Jolly Roger is amazing if you party with physical damage dealers.
Hexen dropper is another autoattacker (Important, it hits 7 times and has decent AAR! Nice for pillage)
I couldn’t recommend the leftover points, I’m not a fan of either of the skills so I haven’t tested them much.
Outlaw:
For pistols the skills here are great supplement (Blindfire), but you’re not pistols, so you’d be going with Mangle instead. Invuln during it’s attack is pretty great, highly recommend.
At least one point in throw sand and brick smash, I prefer to put more points into throw sand simply because it doesn’t require that hit from the back to have good effect. Also it’s a long animation IMO (multiple casts can help or not depending on how you see it)
Personally I’ve never bothered with rampage but again I generally do pistol builds.
Agress I definitely recommend a little bit in, it’s very useful in mapswhere stuff doesn’t aggro, or if you have enough evasion stacked up can be insanely useful since you have Bully (+20%) and Hasisas (+20%). I’d max either throw sand or brick smash and put rest into AGgress, or you can max Aggress and dump to the others, up to you. Since neither of your skills require something that won’t let you autoswap you may even pick up blindfire and a crap pistol in swap just for the extra invuln (Just 1 point if so).
I’ve found outlaw to be extremely fun if you want to play a bully, but absolutely do not take it first unless you want a really bad time, always take your DPS class first unless you’re in a party you know will always be on with you and your choice can help the team more (linker, certain healers, etc)
