I am looking into making them my main class but they were simply nearly impossible to play because of the statue randomly deciding to not spawn. Can anyone confirm if it will be fixed in open beta?

Yeah the bug was fixed, carving speed was increased.
Some buffs to the statues here and there too, Carve now has three charges and hits five times on top of an increase in damage, Owls hit faster and stronger too yadayadayada.
TO resume, yes Dievdirby is very good now as far as you aren’t one of those ‘‘hurr durr totems zo badd’’ people.

Its fixed in KToS, so I’m sure it will be fixed for OBT, but no promises.

- Statue of Goddess Laima now also reduces enemy movement speed by 20.
- Statue of Goddess Zemyna now also allows your sp to recover 5 seconds faster whilst in the aura.

Not only has the statue bug been fixed, but the class has also been significantly buffed over several patches in kTOS. It is now a great asset to any group, and very useful in endgame content (Earth Tower) or PvP/GvG (area denial). The cast time of statue carving went from 5s to 2s, making the class playstyle a lot more fluid in dungeons, even early game.
