Will rank 9 bring us new classes or just the last circles of the current ones?

Would be very easy to just make 1 or 2 circles worthwhile in a single class if they want to stop at rank 10.

The problem with making R9 and R10 classes have only 1 or 2 circles, and making them strong enough to justify them having fewer circles, is that they would in most cases be must picks.

If I can choose between a third circle of, say, Inquisitor, or having 2 circles of it and and an end game class that is strong enough at one rank, I’d always pick that.

I don’t think golem was ever confirmed…or did I miss it? I’m one of them who actually told a few times I hope kabba will get golem because it is a part of the jewish culture but that’s it. It was just an assumption. So unless someone found something in the files or a developer told there will be kabba golem then better not expect anything…just hope… X)

Thats the danger of choosing too many classes or skills in this game. Also, that’s the reason that before and especially after the rework you tend to only level lower ranks for buffs or specific skills to supplement a high rank class that is self sufficient.

Skills from fencer before rework and doppelsoldner(specifically barb 3) both before and after are pretty much all you use. You then supplement those with buffs.

For example, doppelsoldner ideally uses swordsman2 barb3 dop3 atm. The reason highlander isn’t great is it adds even more spammy skills that hit less than doppelsoldner skills. And when you throw in party mixes with chroni pass and/or diev statues reducing cds, you already are mashing skills on cd just from doppelsoldner alone.

This is very evident with archers using archer2qs3falcon3 builds. You keep up your buffs. Then only really rotate circling, multishot, caltrops, and pheasant/sonic strike. Adding rank 9 would allow you to primarily use those skills from either musket (covering fire, snipe) or Schwartz reiter(caracole, retreat shot, concentrated fire) that have longer cds that work crazy well with circling/aiming.

You can do others as well, but these are examples of only really adding 3 skills or so from 3 different classes and focusing on just those instead of adding 3 or so skills from 5-10 different classes and running out of space and having skills sit idle on your bar since better ones are already off cool down before you need them.

There is a price to pay if you want to do ā€œeverything.ā€

Here’s what IMC should do for R9

-Release a few more 1 circle Hidden classes
-Finish R7 classes with final circle and add circle for R8
-Buff R1-R6 classes to be on par with R7 (yes, you heard me correctly)
-Don’t bother with releasing new core classes unless they are accessible at R8

I think this would make the most sense assuming R10 is the ā€œfinalā€ rank. If not, and if it is R12 instead, they can probably keep their current trend up to R10.

The problem is that all of the skills in the classes are active.

If we had some passive skills like in Ragnarok, adding new classes would be no problem.
They could bring passive skills that modify some of the current active skills.

Cleric recieves a new Class, it’s probably ensured that all base Classes will have new Classes at Rank 9, which leads to the conclusion that R11 is most likely the final Rank (for the OBT) and that from R10 onwards only hidden Classes/lower ranked-Classes will be released.

This will solve two fundamental problems of TOS:

  • powercreep via Class comes to a halt.
  • time used to develope new skills gets significantly reduced.

Can’t wait to see Sheperd (if it really comes out); let’s hope I can take it into my build somehow, as I originally planned to aim for Sadhu C3 after Kabbalist C3 at Rank 9.

I guess that Rank 9 will hit KTOS in September-October and most likely iTOS before or after christmas.

dude; the talk about mounted class for cleric was a mistaken made by google translation, where in the place of ā€œequip itemā€ ā€œequipedā€ he was making a translation of ā€œmountedā€; this already have being explained in the forum/topic where this started , but everyone keep spreading it in everyplace and everyone started to believe it;without checking the official answer where this rumor started.
So i would recommend you to edit your post and remove it; because as far as today there is not any news about a mounted class for cleric, i will say again there is nothing about mounted class for cleric yet, so let’s stop this now before it grow larger than already is and confuses new players and so on.

Now about the topic itself: at the start of last year when the game was launching there was a no official statement made by the develops saying that the game was going up to 11 ranks (10+1base) , so we can expect new classes with the new ranks; even more because the datamining have found multiple costumes of new classes; but again is not official yet, just datamining and so on.
