Will rank 6 classes be dead after new class system?

If Falconer3, Doppelsoldner3 and others already have its own space among all r8 classes already released, they still gonna have it. New classes will have the same “power” as the actual r8 classes. After all, you will be getting a new r8 class after your C3, as any other character in the same situation. And even if you don’t, your C3 skills (and your class in general) are already supposed to be balanced with actural r8 content

All they have to do is give R7 Classes 1 or two skills that are as powerful as R8 C3 and we’re good to go. Especially Classes like Kabbalist need a huuuuge power-up with their last Circle, at least 9000% base damage for Nahash and 15 seconds CD so they can cover all the damage that has been lost with Crappy Merkabah and useless high CD Double Chance.

IMO all Classes should have equal strength, not just Classes of the same Rank (or not, IMC still holds onto the concept that the gas murderer and corpse burner Plague Doctor is at least 6 times as strong as Kabbalist for no apparent reason although it is against both concepts they’ve presented to us).

IMC in a nutshell:

  1. Present Class balancing and skill balancing concept
  2. Ignore the presented data/facts and create great unbalance to enforce meta
  3. sell Rank Resets so people can give up their builds
  4. Rinse and repeat -> profit

I don’t even understand why they create Classes that are too weak for the game to be viable, base them on cool and unique lore with cool Class costumes and don’t even bother about rebalncing them to the degree that they are playable.

I bet noone of the developers even plays Oracle or Kabbalist, they are all Doppelsoeldner- and Schwarzer Reiter-rangers (like the typical Korean youth that needs to wield a gun or a badass sword).

If they did, they’d see how shitty they perform and how dire the situation is on some ends. Just farming more shards to transcend your stupid weapon does nothing about bad gamedesign and has a limit of efficiency. At some point people will either stop playing or reset that crap away.

What I’m curious is will IMC’s Master circle consume a rank(kinda like Chaplain) or will obtaining C3 of R1-6 classes amp up/modify skills of said classes.

Just gib us a full reset NPC again and everything will be ok

I have a theory:

rank 8 at c3 is rank 10. Rank 11 may be for the master circle (and here come another question, will be rank 11 only for master circle or players will be able to decide if master 1 lower rank class or if get (for example) falconer 3 Mergen 3.

Honestly I think something like Falconer 3 Mergen 3 would be too op so they can decide to make r11 only for master classes so, a class like falconer can go falconer c3 and Mergen c2 and example master falconer for better falconer dmg or new skill or improve other low ranks like sapper or qs to make it damage like r8+ skills and maybe get some new skill too at master circle

(even if in the post clearly write to make dmg similar to high lvl skills, not add new ones, so I don’t have much hope for new skills at master rank, since all classes except the r8 can be master (i suppose so because master rank 8 c3 would be something too op and be the meta always forcing all player to re-roll r8c3 master)

So for IMC add at last one new skill for each job would be a colossal job (more than making rank9/10) so increase skill % is much more easy and effective way to boost low ranks.

Also, IMC in one old dev blog says that c3 classes will be rewarded (so I suppose master rank is only available for c3)

Guys, we are going to have only 9 ranks per character. Rank 10, 11, etc, is a way to say we have many options to choose for the last ranks (8 and 9).

“Character Rank” and “Class Rank” are separate ideas, and that has been established in the news post. Character rank is how many class circles you can own, while class rank is literally a tier number for each class. Class tiers are confirmed to cap at tier 8, any new class ranks that come out will also be tier 8 (even if circle 1 of class x is a tier 8 class, circle 2 of that class will also be tier 8). According to the image in the same news post, character rank is going up to, at least, rank 11. Meaning a character can carry up to 11 class circles (potentially, carrying four tier 8 class circles).

No. Reading the developers blog. It says “each character Will be able to advance into a maximum of 9 classes, including rank the circle 2 of rank 8 classes”

The “maximum of 9 classes” is in reference to when the next content update comes about. Because we’ll have character rank 9.

keep in mind 1 rank is for the master circle. I don’t think IMC will make R6 classes to get R8 C3 but just c2 + rank 11 for master 1 lower class.

If had a chance maybe for a class like a falconer is worth to pick r8c3, but for a class like doppel choice will be get c3 of r8 or get the master at doppel skills and make doppel skills dmg like R8+.

Still, doppel will have 2 circles in rank 8 wichs provide new skills with high % dmg, for this would be more sensed boost the rest of skill set to have a more balanced skill % divided in most of skills and not in R8 class only.

But still maybe doppel c3 with C3 rank 8 would be something too strong and if IMC allow this all ppl will follow R6C3R8C3 meta.

if they don’t allow R6 to pick c3 but just to boost their c6 class or a lower one is much more fair/balanced.

No one will ever party with a non-falcon 3 mergen if falconer can get both.

I think their plan is to do the following (using rank 12 as example)

Since the class power cap is R8C3 all the following ranks force you to backtrack, if no rank 8 class suits the build you can take a Master Circle (at least that’s how it seems like) and get equivalent power of a rank 8 class (powerful as Warlock 2 and Sage 1).

They can deliver it like Murmillo and Chaplain, Hunter CM can have a buff that triggers Rush Dog like Preemtive Strike.

For the balance, they will keep fixing some classes. They also say that are planning new attributes. Some could be for master circle only.

But I don’t think is going to happen that c6 and c7 classes will have access to rank 8 c2/3.

Rank 11 suit with the lvl 600+ that should be the cap. Rank 12 is so far on that we can even speculate that they can introduce at that point new rank 12 classes and make the same thing done right now with r8 classes.

Also taking alchemy as example, if he will be able to get sage c3 and master alchemy, the alchemy class and the sage class will be less relevant because they won’t be anymore classes that require you to sacrifice some rank and for this reason unique in some way.

(because nr of hit of arrowsprinkle is based on monster hit box, more larger more hits)

For stop this “discrimination” classes need to have restriction, or I will be my self first to roll a falcon3mergen3 and party for et with some insane doppel3+new rank8c3 classes because they will be able always to be superior (for their buff/mechanics not for the skill % factor so even master rank doesn’t really matter, make things only worst.

Imagine rank 12 like you say, A2SAP3FAL3Mergen3 Master sapper.

For ET no other kind of archer will be taken for r12 because this will be the meta, not for skill factor but again for attributes like broom trap +50% crit rate at c3 in combo with expand + master rank in sapper that gives insane damage.

again, the power of circling+expand+aiming in Mergen skills for the AoE, for single target faint +barrage lvl 15 master from back with sneak hit also spiral arrow and double arrow sprinkle with capture + hoaming arrow.

Like they had put, higher ranks are USUALLY stronger than lower classes, but it’s not always the case, Bokor, Elementalist and Highlander per example have a lot o power, even higher than a lot of higher tier classes.

And having only a C1 of class a bad idea? I mean, Murmillo right now with only C1 can break the entire shield bearer Swordman classes and we know the power of a Mergen C1 when paired with a Falconer 3.

Another thing to think, is how the master ranks will work, and if they are for rank 9 and above? That means that the Tier 8 or higher classes can’t increase their lower rank skill for a long time

In the end, we will have to make a lot choices to decide the build, and that is not a bad thing, it will just increase the diversity and Tier 6 classes have a lot of unique things on them that makes them a viable choice.

I’m with you is just I want rank 7c3 have only 1 rank in R8 classes and master in R7 with rank 11 and R6C3R8C2 + master circle.

if make:

rank 12 R6C3+R8C3+master circle

or

R7C3+R8C3

would be too much and make the class not unique anymore

Some if the replies are creating misinformation or really trying ti mislead intentionally. Oh well I’ll just wait and see.

what happen after character rank 11 patch is released and all new job and master job introduced? will tos still be interesting to play at that time?
