Will Fencer survives End games?

Hello guys, due to fencer popularity lately. I’ve been thinking about the end-game fencer lately. I love the fencer playstyle (It also has cool costume). But it cant be denied, that fencer lacks lot of damage rather other DPS classes (dopple, shinobi, magic and archer class).

So the question is, can fencer survives at late game with inferior damages? Which things that can make fencer viable at the end of the game? Is it tanking, or what?

Thanks

Fencer’s damage isn’t as bad as you think. Sept Etoiles is one of the highest bursting skills on the swordsman tree.

I’m also agree with that, but still the CD is quite long though. Also I compared to some DPS classes in terms of damage. Fencer damage still below other classes that I’ve mentioned before. But is it possible that fencer could also be a tank?

One thing I hate about playing fencer is the durability of my weapon, sometimes I gotta gem dem squire repairs :(, forced to, rather.

I’m using fencer as a tank and is pretty dope @_@

Yes, I think it’s better to carry 2 weapons instead of 1. So if something happen, like you die or forgot to repair in dungeon, you can switch to the other weapon.

What stats are you building by the way?

standard dex str con tank, looking at my dps i could deal about 8k-10k crits at lv 187 if skills were used correctly. Using a magas rapier, I only have a standard rapier as an extra though and it’s pretty annoying to have a massive power gap between the two

Yea, I’m planning to build a tank fencer too. With str:dex:con 1:1:2. What do you think?

Hey man, how did you find magas rapier recipe? I was looking for it on the internet and TOS database but didnt managed to find it. :frowning:

Fencer is meant to be the tankiest of the endgame swordsman classes, yes. Think of it this way: Dragoon is single target burst damage. Doppel is heavy AoE damage. Fencer is tanky combo damage.

It is pretty good I think but, what will matter is your playstyle. I did a straight push to 100 CON then 3 -1 Str/Dex. I’m tanking like a god with blocks and dodges. Also RODE2 is a heaven aganist magic damage a lot of times ^^

sorry I have no idea about it too, just bought one in the market when someone listed it for 200k

same here :v

I think fencer is not the tankiest if we’re talking about the highest survivability. Classes like rodelero and squires should be tankier than fencer I believe so.

Ahhh that’s pretty nice. But do you think it’s possible to tank by taking barbarian C3 instead of rodelero? Because if we got too focused on tankin without dishing damages, it will burdened the whole team.

Well okay, then I have to look up for it. Thanks mate!

fencer is a GREAT 1v1 dmg dealer, u will do tons of dmg to bosses and u will dodge A LOT too. if u build it right any class can “survive” end-game

Rodelero is not meant to be your rank 7 class. They start at rank 4. You could, I suppose, end with them, but I’d see no reason to.

Squire offers nothing in terms of self-defensive buffs, though if you’re fighting with them you’re definitely going to want to be doing it as a tank to not cripple your team’s damage output.

Do you think it’s better to increase your defense or your evasion for end-game? Because I’m thinking at late games, monster will be pretty hard to evaded. While you’re building evasion, you can’t tank damages especially magic.

evasion>>>defense, and fencer is the only class that can really make a efective evasion build for late game.
magic def is all the same, magic is broken in this game u cant dodge, block and magic def is sht. id make an evasion/block fencer, with c1 peltsasta for guard and +18% evasion bonus

Some people go with Rodelero C3 though. Because If you watched end game dungeon like Earth tower, the magic attack from the monster will kill you (I saw level 280 with 60k HP) in 2-3 seconds. So if we go to hard level dungeon like that, we can leave damages to another DPS class, and focusing on tank, to prevent your team from dying by those savage monster.

What do you think?

You don’t need to go far as Rode C3 because you will get slithering at C2. My view of tanks in this game is using your skills to the most for hold the mobs from attacking your mates and, let healers to help those who needs the most other than the tank because you can metigate every type of damage somehow. I figured it after I saw a few attacks that are dodgeable but not blockable and vice-versa(the same applies for magic damage with slithering).
I saw a few parties break because the healer was just focused on maintaining the tank hp.

I thought so. Because tanking is not about pressing C and receive damage. Tank should also hit to prevent losing aggros. But I was thinking at end game, it’s hard to dodge attacks from high level mobs, so if I build huge DEX, I will be very squishy even though I have great evasion. So it’s not good to focus on healing tanks? Why is that? Because I think other classes besides tank shouldn’t receive damages :open_mouth:
