Wich class would suit me?

Hi guys, I’m trying this game for the first time. I’ll only play PvE and I will mostly play with my brother.

He will play a priest healer of some sort as he always do.

So I need a class that will pair well with him. I anjoy class that are semi complex I’D say. To straight foward is boring to me and I don’t like heavely stance dancing or class that requiert to stairs at multiple buff/debuff timers.

I also prefer when my character have some mobility. No need to be crazy ziping trough the screen but bether then the average sword and board tank.

I anjoy both melee or range character but my favorites ones tend to be melee with a few range moves.

Pure damage or damage + utility are all fine for me too.

thanks in advance guys

I think of wizards first for non-straightforward class. Although buff/debuff management is counted toward complexity in my book, most classes need few buff/debuff management anyway so it’s not total braindead.
For mechanically complex class, I can think of

Wizard-Featherfoot-Warlock-Shadowmancer
Dark caster with unorthodox way to deal dmg. Like leaving footprints to deal dmg, sacrifice hp to deal dmg and recover hp in return. Like stack up evil spirits and command them to attack. Like accumulating stacks until a skill boosted to deal triple dmg. Also got utility dmg absorb shield.

Wizard-cryomancer-psychokino-onmyoji
King of crowd control. A bit lacking dmg but can get through non-raid content very well.
This build really makes you think. Most skills have additional effect which can disable mobs. To help protect party from being overwhelmed by mobs, need to manage cooldown, effect of skills efficiently.

Beware that these 2 classes are not top/high tier dps though.
For me other classes are more simple, mostly just rotate dps skills while taking advantage of buffs/debuffs/movement/iframes.

About mobility, most classes have some kind of mobility but not really crazy except cataphract+lancer. All classes can run (called dash in-game) so I think you are fine with any.

Hoping to see more opinions as well

Personally I think a scout build will suit you and pair with your brother better.

Scouts hit fast and hard, but they are fragile, which can be solved by teaming up with a priest. Some scout classes have high mobility and wide AoE, as well as close and ranged combat.

Look into offensive scout builds and let your brother take care of defense and support.

there used to be an enternatining feature to answer this in main page.too bad i cant find it now.maybe because theres new classes and it gonna take them time to add it back.

Honestly though, not only is that feature often inaccurate, people would still rather choose the classes they have in mind or seek confirmation from experienced players.

I guess the perfect build to match all your needs is Monk>Zealot>Plague Doctor, but only after the classes receive their rework (which will come in 1-2 months from now).

First of all, Monk allows you to hit enemies over a certain range with quick attack flurries and has the ability to use Energy Blast (which is basically equivalent to Dragonballs Kamehameha) that knocks enemies back&down. Energy Blast can also be spammed when certain conditions are met via an art, further improving range, AoE and damage of the skill.
If you don’t like to manage too many buffs, this class is for you, because it only has 3 of them, one lasts forever(till you change the map), one lasts 30 minutes and one lasts 30 seconds after the change when used at the right time.
The Nirvana buff required to spam Energy Blast lasts 15 seconds if you like it, but you don’t have to use the skill/art at all.

Zealot is a nice damage dealer because all the damage it deals is buff&debuff based, so you can move freely while you deal damage. It has a nice damage buff that lasts for 30 minutes after the changes, and some optional boosts to crit damage/crit rate if needed.

Plague Doctor is mainly a support class that is put on this build for Modafinil, which will heavily increase your movement speed (high mobility), and Beak Mask to resist status ailments.
You also have access to damaging skills that are debuff-based, meaning you’re free to run around while they continuously deal damage.

Since Modafinil works for the whole party, your brother is free to take a different support class aside of Priest (probably Diev & Oracle) while you still have access to high mobility.

Note that this build is by no means one that reaches top tier, but you might have some fun with it.
