TL;DR: IMC did nothing since iCBT2, white knights defend them allowing such actions, people keeps quitting as a result and the game is getting killed by this behaviour.

People wouldn’t need Revive if the players without Healing capabilities would actually transcend/upgrade their equipment and invest points into CON.
Why would anyone ever consider that dieing is not his own fault for lousy gameplay by actively avoiding damage/using potions, but rather another players fault for not having a certain skill skilled or the buff active at the time he got his @$$ handed to him by being a facetanker?
That sounds like an excuse a drunken driver would tell after getting caught by the police : “but we learned in the driving curriculum that everyone should drive carefully enough to cover for the mistakes of others”…

The game is easy enough if a player knows what to do. If he can’t live without Revive, he better plays that Priest C2/C3 instead of bothering others by debuting as “Kirito the undead slayer” (undead because he died x times and is now a zombie rather than himself being a slayer of zombies).
If anyone seriously quits over someone else not being compatible with his playstyle, this easy game is not for him (“Oh no, 5 stats, I better invest every single statpoint in 1 or 2 stats only to have the highest attack in the game”)…

You mean this game doesn’t require absolutely perfect min/maxing because the hardest content isn’t on par with Ultimate mode in FFXIV?
