@rofldat Do you have proof that Catar Stroke is supposed to hit that often ? Not trying to put you on the spot here, just genuinely interested on where you got that information from. Its also not just this skill but pretty much 60% of all two handed skills that are way too strong at least in comparison with other “DPS” classes.
There’s a thread keeping up with kCBT change around here on the forum, but I use this one on reddit:
Circle 1 - Cartar Stroke; Cast time of the skill has increased greatly (~8 seconds at Level 15). The skill now does four hits at every level.
Before that change, if you look up older videos, you notice how Cartar hit for stupid large amount of times, that’s because back then each level add one more hit to Cartar (although the damage was a lot lower as well)
Grinding is fun… IF ONLY IF there is no kser…
I can hardly call it fun , when you’re getting next to nothing and your only option is HELL.
i guess you never played and older mmorpg? lol… back to RO generation, most of the MMORPG are grind-based. This game is consider quite good. At least there are quests to do and they gives lots of exp. I quite enjoy everything what this game having except that there are so many bugs and official does not listen to us and give us more channels etc…

Some of your complains are right, i’d elaborate a bit more, change the title and don’t get too sentimental with it.
Keep the positive criticism, after all, we play an important rol before the game release.
There’s no reason to nerf Cartar Stroke considering the stupid amount of cast time it has, you’ll get ks’d or mobs aggro’d by someone. And that’s just considering PvM, i wouldn’t take Cartar Stroke for PvP in any way.

I m agree with all thing your post, people here tell is close beta ? from close beta 1 and close beta 2 what we see ? nerf nerf the weakest classes in the game.
Now when you see that is no a excuse because is a close beta oki ? the dev more unbalance the game then make it balance ? Are you understand ?
Every magic skill get nerfet so much, limite fixed hit, drope dmg, remove good combo etc, and you tell is close beta, dev more focus then unbalance into magic and physique then balanced.
Then stop ask is close beta as Hell, because the evolution we see is unbalance in update more then sovle the probleme.

Actually, that’s only if you want a lv 15 Cartar.
Think of Cartar as something like Megaman’s buster.
After a minimum charge time, it’s at lv 1, then the longer you hold the higher charge it gets (in this case, the higher level of the skill to cast)
Lv 1 Cartar is that 0.5s or so, which of course have much weaker damage compare to 15, but it still hits 4 times, is Strike type damage (bonus damage on most bosses)
I come from family of older mmo’s including the original Ragnarok.
This is nothing like those oldschool games.
For example a basic difference between Ragnarok and Tos would be that your grind is bad no matter what.
For example the equivalent of stuff like anubis “turn unded” farming is impossible in ToS, because the exp reward is too small even if you could.
Between the 2 areas that you can actually go to at any point in time, the exp does not change, the grinding method doesn’t change ,all that matters in this game is “how much hp does a monster have”.
All Small mob gives you 0.05% ,all medium 0.1% and all large 0.15%. Make your choice.
As opposed to oldschool mmo’s most mobs here are passive so even when you get to an area which seems to be somewhat suitable as a solo player you still will take ages to gather the mobs.
In comparison in Ragnarok you could mob train Isis or Seals for days. They spawned all across the map , they had large agro radius and the density was enough to accommodate at least 10-20 players.
On top of that there were many options that were based on attack type , eg you could farm Soils if you had fire element property weapon.
Please tell my options in ToS. I want to hear what they are. In which way is this game anything like Ragnarok as you seem to claim?

Good job you’ve proven that you can farm 8 hours straight for days. However that was not the point. I wasn’t talking about insane grinders , I was talking about general public , which you don’t belong to. You belong to the 1% .

You think that playing as Mage or Archers are imbalanced? Try solo-ing as a cleric going for the Monk route. That’s the true definition of hell.
yeah u stated it right… Well just wait for the game for improvement. Still new anyway… New game have its own new gameplay style. We cant just have it like remake of original RO and reskin everything and give it better graphics right? Give it a chance to change or improve. It might be better after few months.
You’re the one who used Ragnarok as an example in the first place, now you’re making it sound as if I was the one wanting some kind of re-skin.
