Dear flan, there is new news. I cant put the link here, so go to the news section

Not only you don’t search, but you also twist information.

I didn’t know the new Q&A was up and he was being a little vague in his post so I think me interpreting it as referring to the server merge was to be expected.

This mean we will be getting faster updates with the KTOS at the same rate or something close to that. AKA FFXIV does this type of updates.

Oh, I wasn’t directing what I said to you, dont worry lol.

Because people like to whine. If they have nothing to complain or troll about they dont post.

The repository merge is all well and good but I somehow think if people were given kToS, it’s not going to change the success of the game.

My reasoning for this is that this month the kToS servers are merging due to a significant drop in playerbase. Although it can be argued that Korea is a small country so expecting the majority of their gamers to play only one game is stupid. But I’m not sure of all the details of what kToS has over us. I did hear that they still didn’t ‘fix’ swordsmen there either and the restrictions and bots are not going to go away.

Well in my opinion merging the repositories is a win-win situation for both players and developers. For players, we get what we wanted (up-to-date with kToS). And for developers, they have a litlte extra work to do the merge but when they finally get it done they won’t have to bother updating both servers individually (meaning less work to do in the future).

Just merging the servers won’t change it to a success, but it might help developers make/fix content faster. Which might help achieving success

I do search, i saw the others posts, even i commented there, but i think this need more attention.

Well, Overwatch came out and actually supplanted League of Legends as the most played game in KR, and the third most played game after OW and LoL is trailing by an enormous margin, so it’s not really surprising to see other games bleeding players (granted ToS was losing players steadily before). That’s not to say people won’t come back when their old games get new content, I’m really skeptical about the longevity of OW.

I agree with you. A lot of my friends go to overwatch.

Because it’s something they should have done in the first place.

The amount of mismanagement in IMC is astounding. They are truly competing with TRION levels of ignorance right now.

It’ll end up like League honestly. People play League maybe once or twice a week. Some people only a couple times a month. Just a time killer when you’re super bored. Not nearly as many take League seriously as it was years ago.

But this has been part of many research debates about gamer behavior. MMOs were a much more popular genre years and years ago when people were overwhelmed with “activities” to do on the internet. Gamer behavior now a days is more about going around trying different things without really committing heavily to one thing for a long period of time — which is the reason some argue that the MMORPG genre is outdated and can’t work like it used to years ago.

FFXIV does alright because it went the themepark route. Release a patch of content, players play it all out and then move on to other games until next patch release. It works, but at the same time it makes the MMORPG feel super depressing if you are playing it with the old school way of thinking. You meet cool people and watch them disappear several weeks after every patch then it’s just you again with no friends as you try to make new friends.

MOBA games and FPS games have seen a rise in popularity because there’s no serious commitment to be able to enjoy them for the most part. Play a couple matches, go do something else for a month and you aren’t really losing out on much.

Why am I ranting about this? Hope you get where I’m coming from.

TL;DR - Surrounded by entertainment, people can’t commit to only one thing like they used to years ago when the MMORPG genre was thriving.

Wow, this seems like good news. I’m happy.

I think many people play league of legends every single day and, for the most part, they do it to get their daily win bonus and work towards unlocking new ■■■■. Overwatch lacks that motivator, the loot boxes suck and you don’t have any daily login reward or whatever. The gameplay itself will probably get stale for most people much more quickly than LoL where every game has a lot of variables. Plenty of much better FPS games than Overwatch have sold really well initially and then just dwindled down to a small playerbase over time, I don’t think it’ll remain a multi million concurrent player juggernaut like LoL.

I doubt ktos community will welcome us with open arms. Just look how toxic and cancerous we are. Do you let your neighbors pile their trash in your lawn. Ofcourse you wouldn’t let them do something that can potentially be a health hazard to you. Itos is like a quarantine zone for trolls weebs bots. And ofcourse slow updates. Please don’t burn me on a stake.

down with the merge!!! up with the PURGE!!!

If they take us in the ktos management team has to deal with the bots too. They obvously don’t want that crap. When itos was open for free to play we were all like “no new players will lag us” “your opening the door to bots” etc… If ktos were to have a disscussion about taking us in they be like “no theres bots among them” “foreigners are rude” ect…
