Why the moany-ness?

I really wonder why so many people are being moany about the game? its a game that is still in its diapers for the international servers, which means its logical that there are gonna be bugs, DCs, maint that gets extended etc… and what not…

I mean, it is a LOT better than lets say Ragnarok Online (iRO), I find the costumer service is a million times better than in iRO. They keep us updated with the stuff thats going on, they are giving away freebies for extended maints (and we all love freebies!), they reimbursed the prices of Token after it got its price lowered with last maint… AND added 7 days to your token price…

You can do so many things in this game, the story line is really interesting, you can create whatever character you want…

Of course there are things that need to be improved, but lets be realistic, this game just got out of open beta… so have some patience!

Lets be less moany - you dont have to spend cash to buy TP, you can do a lot without having pay real life cash!

Love it (and have some patience) or leave it (and find a so called “better game to play”… no-one is forcing you to stay…)

So here is a little thumbs up for the patience and tolerance of the GMs, you do good work and I hope this game is going to be even more awesome than it is already.

yeah such a shame though!

Also, how can some people on steam rate this game badly when they have played over 500hours of ToS…

rubs head

If you dont like it, why spend so much time?

There are many Loli fans on these forums. As you described, game is still in its unfant state, Loli of a game. So what you hear is those fans moaning in awe.

It’s simple really, IMC loves everyone so good the moaning can’t be helped. People love being bent over way too much

less moany? without our HONEST feedback this game will be more in bad shape

comparing a game to a 16 year old game (more or less) is ofcourse the newer game will be better/better support ? duh

this game is not NEW. there are problems since day 1 that they can’t fix

Coming from IRO ( ragnarok online )

This game is a huge upgrade from it. It’s basically what ragnarok should have been at this day of age.

From the moment i started from level 1 to my current level 175. I’m having a blast, and got the feeling that i’m walking in the real ragnarok 2 world. Money is easy to farm, crafting is actually doable. Party system works well, finally a capable action house ( market ) even while in a limited form it works with a token. The buff system works really well with npc’s selling it.

Love the bite sized maps with quests, and the small kill count grinds in between. Also like the card concept, so you can decide when to get and push exp. The multiple roads give you the idea you decide on what to do.

Also the mini story’s are interesting and give its charm to the game.

All with all with this extended maintenance that gives us like 4x 1 hour exp
Anyway i will be playing here for a long time, completely dropped ragnarok because of it.

Keep up the good work, and thanks for the 4 free exp scrolls and the longer duration on our token + free tp.

Love the game.

Yeah, uh. There’s a difference between Honest and Impartial feedback, then moaning and groaning because everyone else is doing it.

Also, that comparison is to most people who just say “oh iRO is better later guys 20 characters”. Most people fail to recall that vanilla RO on release was regarded as utter trash but survived, thrived*, and evolved to get new players. It’s terrible to make this comparison, but people do not because of timeframe only, but literally all MMOs are subject to this.

No duh this game sucks on release right now, I haven’t played a released MMORPG from it’s beta state that was actually complete on said release, but when actual productivity in this forum get shoveled down by the doomsayers and the trolls who have nothing else better to do, you realize just how much more moaning there is than criticism. Especially since half of these topics should actually be in Feedback.

It’s fine if you want people be more positive about the game, but as a former iRO player, I don’t agree with your point that costumer service in iTOS is better than in iRO.

Rather, I would say the costumer service is as bad as iRO, even slightly worsse.

Proof:
1 - My support ticket is unanswered for 2 weeks now in iTOS. Same as iRO.
2 - iRO has good CMs who held events ingame every few weeks, and they have weekly CM streaming. There’s nothing in iTOS.
3- iRO also has free 3-day VIP from time to time, extended VIP time for maintenance, free stat/skill resets when there’s skill updates.

You are free to defend anything in iTOS, but don’t compare it to iRO. Thanks.

One of the haters confirmed that they believe that the forum is on fire, if there is an atmosphere that the game is over and can not even be saved and all players are leaving, the developers will find some way to speed things up. They belive terrorism works. furthermore In their head white knighting somehow tells to IMC that the game is fine and nothing needs to be done.

This explains why these people who create topics saying that they hate the game and it’s unplayable, keep playing and creating topics. Demagogy and hypocrisy is some kind of tools that brings benefits.

Things like this didn’t happen from the 6-8 month testing period where they ignored everyone then basically cash grabbed money out of founder packs. Now we sit here and wait for them to attempt at fixing something they should have done back in development and either have to re-write the code for a lot of things everyone wants or make it more of a spaghetti mess it already is I’m sure. Also they need to cough up more dough for better servers to handle people especially in the SA region which has problems.

TL;DR - Get wrecked.

There have been several MMOs that have released as solid packages.

If you think every single MMO in history has always been trash at their launch you simply aren’t experienced with the genre as you’d like to think you are.

They’ve always been weaker at the start than later on after they exist. Simply due to the fact that they’d still be developing content after the release to eventually add on as the first ‘expansion’ off of the initially released.

Also you’re right. I’ve experienced alot in my time growing up, but if I knew every damned folly and trip in this industry I might as well wear a robe and never know the light of day.

Yeah this, there is so many solid mmos at launch such as Guild Wars series, Age of Wushu, Dragonnest.

My experience is the complete opposite; iRO does bandaid solutions.

IMHO, the GMs should do more fixes than to play games on twitch.

Also, their reimbursement of vip time, by adding 3 days for maints that last 7 hours-24h (I mean seriously… 7 hours+, on a game thats so old?? with no real fixes during those maints…??)

anyways… I really want ToS to thrive, i had been playing iRO since open beta… but this game is so much more… I hope it will stay alive for many many years to come <3

GM’s are in game moderators, and also do PR.

They are not necessarily programmers. They represent IMC in game.

in the previous post i was talking about the GMs of iRO not IMC

There is a point where it becomes too much. The biggest patch in the last couple months has been a “performance increase patch” that didn’t affect anyone but the people on prehistoric PC’s.

I feel pushed to level my Elememe/Chrono/PD because I see no balance changes. You have to level what is good now because it is unlikely they will even balance anything in the near future, given the recent past.

Then you have server issues, performance issues, and BOTS EVERYWHERE, BOTS BOTS BOTS BOTS.

This game is starting to feel like B&S did when it basically fell off a cliff. More bots than people and a severe lack of balancing/content.

You would think they would be working overtime, but it seems they are slacking, unless they are getting ready to release a HUUUUGE patch that fixes most problems, there’s no other explanation for the deplorable updates that a team of 2 could do (art and bug fixer) in a few hours.

Look at most other games, I’ve never seen a new game receive so little updates, I think it is a sign that it is likely being shut down soon.
