I really cant see a motive to have that, someone can explain to me?
it give them time to confirm the legitimacy of transactions.
Atleast that is their poor excuse, that most on the forums reject as garbage.
“Legitimacy”?
I smell bulltalt in the air
You need w8 a 48 hours but seller do sells forever ) nevermind its for complicate the game

No wonder. Like if they have one person going through all the transactions to check their legitimacy… There plenty of ways to analyze data and search fishy transactions.
Considering someone here earlier showed his $700 purchase history of silver bought from one of those sites…
Yeah I’ll let IMC do what they’re doing.

Nah, I actually like that we can’t trade Silver. It makes things much harder on RMT’ers as they have to use the roundabout way of making transactions go through the Market, which in turn allows the Market to sink even more Silver than it was ever able to back in iCBT by forcing RMT’ers and Players to use it regularly (for the most part). If players want to give stuff to their friends, then they can buy the item from the Market and Trade that to them.
As for the 48 hour thing, this is the situation it’s used in:
- Player who wishes to engage in RMT transaction, orders 2M Silver.
- Player lists his Digele materials or whatever on the Market, and the Silver seller buys it.
- 48-Hour countdown until the Silver is delivered, and IMC gets a notification on a high amount of Silver in total currently in pending to one account.
- IMC investigates it, decides if it’s legitimate or not, and decides whatever action to take from that point.
^If that’s what they’re actually doing, which I assume it is because otherwise there’s no reason to have the 48-Hour wait in the first place, then I’m fine with it. Sure, it’s annoying for legitimate players, but we have to find a middle-ground somewhere if it ends up benefiting our economy.

still doesn´t explain why a legit player and merchant AH user has to suffer due to bad VAC / bot anticheat.
[/quote]1. They’re smarter
2. A honest player can turn into a botter or gold buyer any moment, just by any impulse
what does VAC means?
I recall that some players suggested that the waiting duration be prorated to the amount transacted so that they are commensurate.
Like transactions under 50k = 3h, under 500k = 12, above 500k = 1 day. (Disclaimer: Placeholder numbers).
I can see some problems with this solution, but it seems eminently sensible and would be a good start.
Blame Steam for their bad VAC. Blame no one for the lack of Anti-Cheat, which professional RMT companies will easily bypass as they can contact programmers from specific public gaming forums and pay them to make one for the specific game they’re infesting, if they don’t already have a private contact to do that for them.
Valve Anti-Cheat
Why VAC isn’t active on ToS last time i looked.
Scroll down. Below “partial controller support”.
Doesn’t really matter much, as this only stops the novice and careless. RMT’ers will bulldoze past this as long as they’re getting paid.
I must admit that the trading system is a huge deal and is kinda frustrating in this game as it is right now.
If it would change even though there is bot problem it could only make the whole game better.

Huh must have missed that.
