I look at the list IMC post, all bot and gold seller.
how about gold buyer? the gold seller is here because there are customer, if no profit why would they bought so many DLC packs to get access?

i suggest IMC ban gold buyer. the harsh one.
or
froze the gold they obtained from gold seller, if they already used it up, then remove all silver they get in the future until accumulate the amount of they bought from the gold seller. and then put their name on hall of shame, then banned for 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, and perma ban for repeated offense.

agree, though it would be a hard and grueling task… not to mention the whining player that gets banned for buying…

Because gold buyer is IMC’s potential source of income. There are a large number of high ranked player that’s a gold buyer.

I don’t think IMC would burn their source of money that easily.

Yes, scaring goldsellers’ customers sounds way more effective plan than repeatedly banning the bot accounts. It somewhat works against pirates (I think it’s less common to pirate OS or important software or movies nowadays than what it was 10-5 years ago) so why wouldn’t it decrease the amount of gold buyers too.

If there’s risks involved, less people are willing to do it and play fair instead. If you’re too lazy or impatient to farm silver, you could still buy tokens to sell which would help the whole community and keep the game alive instead. New players, honest players and company would benefit greatly if they did this.

But as redlevia said, IMC should prepare beforehand and buy plenty of earplugs for the whining.

but its needed. we need Gold Slayer working at IMC, a hero we deserve.
froze the all the gold that player bought from gold seller, this also would safe the game economy…

a whining criminals, who cares.

fine, let them play, no ban, but freeze and remove the silver they bought.

Then they may stop playing ToS because they felt that this game is sht (not that it isn’t already).

The real problem now is that IMC is lazy to work for more cosmetic content such that people can actually buy it with cash. Also, the bot issue is actually not that big if other issue such as lag and market price limit is solved.

well, remove bot might reduce lag too. there like hundred of bot getting ban every month, what if they can permanently remove that hundred unneeded connection from their server?

market price limit, reason of this restriction because of bot. remove bot, they dont need this restriction.

lazy IMC can be solved, just dont be lazy.

except from being lazy, other problem all can be traced back because of got and gold seller.

It’s impossible to remove gold seller from the game even by banning the gold buyer. They will just be smarter in their business, that’s all.

Even atm it’s very difficult to find which transaction is related to gold selling,

The game will not become less lag by removing all the bots too. The origin of lag is by sht coding, which is something they are not talented enough to solve.

Also, if IMC is actually proactive in solving our problem, staff Julie won’t be leaving us too.

nothing is impossible.
easy to trace, how they transfer the silver? gold seller wont wrong bought item. the gold seller will discuss with gold buyer on which item to sell and how much is it.
example Yognome Core, this thing very easy to obtain, low level monster, very high drop chance. it used for cheap recipe, and yet the price is ridiculously high, 300k++ each? who the seller? who the buyer? ban them.

gold seller : ok so you want 1mil? easy, sell 4 yognome core with 250k each.
gold buyer : okay

because i never bought them? lol
i just assume it because the gold seller spam, said they cover the “10%” of market place commission fee. so i assume the gold buyer need to sell something.
so tell me how it works?

You are not wrong. Basically you sell things at price close to the current broken market value and they buy it.

However, those item usually will be bought for trading silver too due to we cant trade silver, making it much harder to be caught.

But the real problem is, if this method is banned, it will affect the non gold buyer the most, and the gold seller can always use other safer method, like trading an expensive item such as battle bracelet (there are more methods).

What if I feel like spreading the wealth and helping some noobs and buy a couple of beginner items for big price? I will be banned? Huh!

There are certainly a number around, but I’m not sure if they are specifically high ranked.

Or you could sell a Venom with your name on it for 8 million instead?

not ban everyone who sell and buy cheap item with high price.
ban only that can be linked with a bot and gold seller.

when you the only one selling worthless yognome core for 300k and gold seller bought it.dont say “ohh i sell those item for fun” “i dont buy gold” “gold buyer by mistake bought my item”

then server should able to keep chat log, check every gold seller chat log. see if any player deal with them.
