Why not make R10 attributes for all R1~R5 classes as well?

But actually looking at it these new attributes feel like master class attributes if you know what i mean?

I like the idea of having to pick a single class specialization instead of having to choose between a master circle and a different circle.

If I had to choose, I’d balance every Class at C2 and C3 with new Class attributes, and add R10+ C3 attributes affecting the signature skills or mechanics of the Class.

The “Master Circle” should be changed into a character identity system that allows you to delve into the lore and actual occupation you choose as your roleplay identity.

This identity will permanently lock your character into a certain Class to be displayed, and allows access to certain new extra skills/abilities that are added and expanded via quest lines that teach you different aspects of the Class.

I want the feeling of actually learning something about the world and the profession I choose.
Right now it’s clicking a button for Class advancement, buying attribute points and leveling skills with skillpoints.

That’s not only a boring system but also strange. There is no Class identity. And with all the balance changes of IMC here and there, the niche of the Class in the game also changes dramatically.

Druid e.g. took over the whole Healer/Supporter/Damage Dealer niches for Rank 6-8 with the recent changes.
Why bother with Kabbalist, Plague Doctor or Oracle if you get a better version of everything in the form of Druid?

That’s why the Class identity should be strengthened with the new system, expanding on R1-7 Classes and allowing them to become your identity in the world of TOS, just like everyone else[i.e. the NPCs] has one.
It should show your dedication to your favorite Class and reward you accordingly,
instead of just continuing power creep with adjusted damage effects for R8+, which in turn calls for more HP&defence on monsters, leading to more pressure on players to upgrade their weapons to +16 or higher.

That would require acknowledging Rogue exists.

If they did this, it would be pretty nice if they allowed shop classes to gain exp for selling their craft.
Nothing too major though, maybe 1-2 levels a week if you’re a full-time seller. Enough to make up for the slight lack of combat ability they would have, anyway.

Main topic: I never really liked the master circle idea, personally. It would be way better to just make the classes good enough for late game as is, without bringing another rank option into the mix.
C3 r10 attributes is a waaay better alternative imo.
