Why not actually let me play the game?

One thing I don’t understand about this game is why almost every single event seems to cut out and punish players who only log on maybe once or twice over a few months.

I like to log in every couple months to check out new patches or outfits or something, because you guys have been adding a lot of patches and content to at least check out. But by all means I’m not someone who plays the game consistently. I only have one max level character. I’ve never done Earth Tower, explored half the maps, etc.

Yet I get punished for checking out the content they decide to add by not being allowed to join events… It just feels like a shot at players who are trying to keep up to date on the game’s progress, which there are A LOT of. Why cut me out of events? I could be having so much more fun if they’d just let everyone do everything.

This type of logic carries itself to tons of other aspects in the game, like only letting us run dungeons 2-3 times per char per day. Why not just let us do things!?!? What kind of MMO has such tiny limits on how many times I can farm something? It’s no wonder no one queues for anything, once you run it 1-2 times or 3 if you have a token, you log off and you don’t queue for anything more!!

This game has so much potential but it’s just squandered by these idiotic decisions. Let your players play the game as much as they want. Seriously, Steam shows there are only like 2k people logging in daily any more. Why are there so many restrictions and limits on all these events and contents, and limits on how many dungeons and stuff we can run?!

But you aren’t losing anything. Or do you want to have all things that regular players have after

That seems disgustingly unfair to them.

You can continue

By checking it every few months.

Or check it every week for new events. Absolutely no problem here.

I think the idea of dungeons alone is a bad idea though, the game would be much more interactive without dungeons, players would be forced to look for parties, not click Queue button, wait to get inside dungeon, final boss dies, immeditaly log out, and back in to queue again, once all entries has been exhausted, change character, or play next day.

I think you’re missing my point entirely. I am not allowed to participate in 3/4 events right now because I logged in to see fishing for 1 hour a month ago. I basically logged in once in 4 months. Now, I cannot do any of the events that are active right now??

And why can’t players who play often just have access to the events too? What is the harm? They have more characters? That’s my whole point. All these restrictions and it just makes it harder to play, harder to have fun, for no real reason.

What event is it you are not being able to take part of?

Only restriction i know if a lvl 40/50 minimum level cap, which is by far not hard to reach, i mean, if a person got enough time to spend completing an event, that person deffinately got enough time to reach that minimum level.

What? There’s actually 4 events going on that anyone can participate: Kivoto’s Compass (any level), The Master’s Unit (characters of lvl 50 and above), Guess to Impress (any level) and Sidekick Booster (you just need a companion to participate). There’s only two events you can’t participate: Savior’s Pick (meh rewards for returnees) and Get Ahead (the same old boost items that ruin the learning process for new players and help people making more Necrocancers), so why exactly are you complanining about?

And what’s the problem with limited dungeon entrances per character? This isn’t an instanced MMOG. There’s plenty of things to do besides lvling up in a dungeon and you can do it as much as you want. You can make silver in underground maps like Timerys Temple and Alembique Cave and you can lvl up and make welfare gear in high lvl hunting grounds. Unfortunately, IMC made dungeons give too much exp to the point the community got really spoiled and no one make grinding parties or quests anymore.

So you have only one max lvl character, never done Earth Tower before, probably never did any quests since you haven’t explored half of the maps yet. Well, why do you need unlimited dungeon runs then? In what way would it makes the game better for you, if you don’t even bother doing the other 90% of this game’s content?

While there are indeed too many stupid restrictions on TOS… You make no sense.

^ is completely a lie. There are absolutely no restrictions on 3 out of the 6 current event, and the 4th one only has a “need to be level 50+” restriction, which can be reached in a few hours at worst.
The only two events you may not be able to participate in are the Returning Player Event and the First-time Player ones.

And the other reason why you make no sense is how you contradict yourself.
You clearly say you don’t play the game, you’re only interested in checking the updates, you clearly say you don’t play the game consistently, you’ve never played it as a regular (took you over 1 year to even get one char to 330, it’s the only high level character you have, you’ve never explored half the maps, you’ve never done ET, or anything else) yet you complain because you can “only” participate in 4/6 events that you wouldn’t even bother doing anyway ?

So not only what you’re complaining about isn’t true, but you’re also complaining about things you have no interest in… It’s like me going to watch an action movie with my friends but complaining during the whole movie because I hate action.
It’s just… just why ?

That’s not punishing, that’s restricting, except you’re not restricted either.

Why not actually let me play the game?

You’re not and was not playing the game in the first place. Logging on =/= playing.

punish players who only log on maybe once or twice over a few months.

You’re punishing yourself.

I like to log in every couple months to check out new patches or outfits or something

Are you a masochist?

Tree of restrictions

I think what OP means is that he has to actually do something to get the event rewards. What he seems to want is to just log in once a month and pick up some event reward for doing nothing then go back to not playing.

Nope, looks like you didn’t read any of my posts. I’m talking about being able to participate in the first place. I like events. I want things to do. I want to earn those things.

What I don’t want is to be punished by not being able to participate in an event because I logged in once over the past 90 days. It happens all the time in this game.

“People who logged in before X can participate in this event.” Why? Why even restrict any of these events like that? There are like 2k people even playing the game daily. Just let us play and do all the events, regardless of being an old or new player.

It discourages me from logging in to check small updates because I might make myself ineligible for future events. That is the problem. The game should be synergizing events with the need to log in, not discouraging you from doing so to wait for better events that have this weird requirement.

Jesus, be mad that there’s an event that exists for the demograph that HAS NOT BEEN LOGGING IN EVERY COUPLE MONTHS.

events that require you to not login for 90days or more usually for returnee player and rewarding you with items that fasten your leveling only. There is no special unique permanent equipment/head/costume from these event so far. Even if there are unique items, those items has 14 days expiry date
You can gain more silver/shard/better equipment by diligently playing seriously everyday.
