I don’t understand that’s reason
so, why lancer only use 2h pike?
in my opinion, lancer use all kind of spear
because, lancer is lancer!

The lance is a pole weapon or spear designed to be used by a mounted warrior or cavalry soldier (lancer). During the periods of classical and medieval warfare, it evolved into being the leading weapon in cavalry charges, and was unsuited for throwing or for repeated thrusting, unlike similar weapons of the spear/javelin/pike family typically used by infantry.
It would be too easy and OP if Lancers had shields.

because imc is trying to recreate historical classes, i’m surprised they didn’t make lancer use an actual lance but that would probably ■■■■ up people who went cataphract before, which is why they didnt do it.
also, lancer’s skill initiate not only gives you block penetration, but also make you block with a 2h spear, you don’t need a shield.
This. Lancer + shield would be OP.
especially since lancer can block with a 2h spear
