the second option is made in a such a way for the P2P people.
IF they just forced people into it all the P2P people that wanted the benefit from the status would have rioted the exact same way the F2P did when the OBT was canceled.
By giving the fake choice on it tho, and adding some items they are making sure that the P2P players are actually choosing the solution that F2P players are suggesting from 48 hourse or such without complaining but beeing happy about it.
So yeah it is extremly smart and it was the right thing to do

You do realize if they didnāt have option B iād ask for option C right? Option B is the best of both worlds.
The reason why I chose option B is cause of the benefits kappa.
Donāt think is āoutplayā just giving the sense of agency for players to gain their respect again + not creating multiple good choises they avoid spliting the community (which was their mistake last time). I would called āthe obvious right thing to doā rather than āoutplayā.
