Why is TP server specific?

I wanted to reset my team name on Orsha so I could use it on Klaipeda
I have 0 TP on Orsha but enough TP on Klaipeda

I bought the discounted steam pack expecting to use this TP for the name swap since I didn’t want to use the free name change since it was risky and I might not have been online when the names were freed.

But I have to buy more just to get one on this specific team?
Kind of ridiculous…
TP should be account wide.

And TP is sold in 100 and 300… so either way I’m going to overpay if I did it this way (which I won’t be doing, I don’t support these practices)

And after 3 tickets (1 timed out and told to resubmit, 1 ignored to this day, 1 responded within 5m saying “sry can’t” in a sentence or two) they can’t even move the TP…

So why is TP server specific?
Why? Literally, what’s the point? It’s a cash currency that’s completely separate from the game and server you play on in all ways, it has no purpose to be locked to a specific server.

Also why can we not simply DELETE a team?
I have to do two team name resets to do this which will be paying 4x the amount I should be no matter how I look at it, why? Literally, why? No logic to it.

This might be the way they planned the market to work.

Certainly I’d prefer it to be account-specific instead of server specific.
Mabinogi’s NX is redeemable in any server, though once you buy the item from cash shop it’s server linked.

It might be either a business model or an oversight on IMC’s part.
Tbh I also didn’t realize at first that team names are server unique.
I made an account on the SEA server and then made another account on Orsha and ended it with X instead of s.

Ending it with X sounds so damn chuuni and I kinda wish I could swap them but watevs x.x

I realized the names were server specific but I figured I’d fix it up later, I was on in the first few moments of the game but I was in the lil girl’s room when the servers came up 5 minutes early and were jampacked and impossible to get in.
I couldn’t get into Klaipeda at all so I just went to Orsha and took the name.

It’s a little pointless though… There’s no reason account credits/points should be character specific.

also where would you even go for a refund… their support page is so limited…

I think we want like a team name swap in this case.
I start to want one too…

I was very against doing that because it was unpredictable.
They weren’t clear what time the maintenance would be where names would be reset, and they’d be reset all at the same time.
It’d be very VERY easy for anyone to just sit on the other servers they don’t have team names on and just swipe some names as if it were launch again.

I contacted support during that period about a simple name swap but they couldn’t :frowning:
I wouldn’t mind paying the TP but christ don’t make me buy TP or entire FOUNDER PACKS on two servers to do this…

Why on earth can’t you juust DELETE a team?
Like I have one level 1 character on that server, I don’t want to reset the name I just want it deleted lol.

You cannot refund on Steam with this DLC, I tried that when I put my TP on the SEA server instead of on the NA server Klapedia :frowning: I am waiting it out and hoping they make TP account wide.

I am sure if you file a ticket they would gladly change your team name on Orsha and deduct the TP amount from the team on Klaipeda.
They also offered to transfer reset potions to other characters if you claimed it on a wrong one.

And if you hit etc. they require unnecessary info which in this case would just make it more confusing I guess.

I went through a couple tickets…
First one got ignored for a week and they just sent this

“We’re sending you an automated message to answer your inquiry in the form of FAQ. As you’re well aware, we’re getting more inquiries than our staff can currently handle. This is a preliminary measure to take care of outdated tickets that we couldn’t answer in time.”

Basically saying send it again and wait a week.

That next ticket was still unanswered since the 21st…
And I sent in another and it was answered in less than an hour.
Their ticket priority is really weird…

But anyways they said they’re unable to transfer TP between servers.

I still don’t understand why a cash shop currency is serverlocked.
And they only are going to sell TP in amounts of like, 100 300 and 500 or something, so you’d have to get the 100 TP one twice on that server…
What a rip off just to remove a team name so I can reset one on a server for even more TP…
You should just be able to delete a team to free up the name, I could care less about my level 1 on it.

Like many other decisions, that’s yet another stupid decision. What else can we say?

This thread, by the way, has an alarming lack of IMC fanboys telling you you’re the one to blame. I suppose they’ll get here sometime. :grin:

I actually really like IMC I just don’t understand their stance on this it’s really pointless lol.
They are REALLY bad at distinguishing things too… If this were any other game I would assume ‘premium items’ didn’t include credits/currency, just the actual items. Which I wouldn’t expect to be cross-server.
TP is just odd.

Like I said, in many games you could use your credits/CS currency on other REGIONS, let alone servers. They were account bound, as they should be.

So at the least I find it weird they were so against me even just moving over 150 TP to Orsha so I could namechange on there, just so I could do it again on Klaipeda… this is a stupid amount, 300 TP. for them for something stupidly tiny WHY ARE THEY SO AGAINST IT.

At least let people who contact you through ticket just move 150 TP
All you have to do is deduct 150 from one server and add 150 to another, it’s not ‘impossible’ at the moment’.

IMC is basically the textbook definition of stupid-ass decisions at this point, this doesn’t surprise me in the least.

But it’d be great if any IMC staff could give a look here since honestly the ticket system is beeyyooooond useless unless you’re asking about one of the 4 things already in the drop down list (usually automated things too like server transfers)

As far as I know, they are going to implement different TP bundle prices for SA and SEA region. And so that might be one of the reason it is not going to be account wide?
