Sorry if there’s an actual explanation somewhere in the game’s lore about a certain tree or something and that I’ve been probably blind this whole time.
If there isn’t any actual reason I wonder if anyone can think up any reasons of why.

If you use the search function you may find it, there is even an old topic about the mythology used as the base. I unfortunately forgot to bookmark it.
Isnt it because the story line is based around the whole yggdrasil mythos and were trying to save the world/world tree
Finally a thread that isn’t about …
I guess I’ll need to go do some brain exercises and eat some healthy food for eyes now.
@LoliLicker Just click and read the story tab on top of the site.
It has nothing to do with yggdrasil, ToS isn’t ragnarok.
Are we saving the tree from us, or us from the tree? D:
Honestly i forgot yggdrasil was in Ragnarok. I just always assumed the big tree was a ygg reference because you know its a mythos that is not exclusive to Ragnarok.
The game is not based on Norse mythology
I remember a huge tree shitting everything up in Medzio Diena. And that’s why humans in ToS have a harsh life.
can I have a link plz?
Hmm. Now that you mention it. It does remind me how throughout the game during quests it was somewhat explained and told like that.
Idk, but if it’s the tree from Evil Dead…
I think there’s a really big tree that grew long long roots that is corrupting the land and making monsters pop out everywhere.
I might be wrong.
Spoiler: We are the tree.
wouldnt that make the game ‘tree of corruption’ rather than savior?
We should have more topics like this. It dispells enrage effects :o
If we are the tree then the trees already done for /joke
Yea… idk. Tree of Savior sounds more dramatic though. Maybe there’s a twist to the end story.
It’s influenced by Lithuanian mythology. The “tree of savior” could refer to Dausos, which is called the home of good souls or the garden of Eden… It has golden apple trees, and is the realm of the dead at the top of a mountain… Otherwise I’m not sure
