Why is there nothing to do in this game other than grind to get new gear

This is literally all you do in this game…

You grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just tjust to grind to get new gear to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just tjust to grind to get new gear to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just tjust to grind to get new gear to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just tjust to grind to get new gear to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just tjust to grind to get new gear to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just tjust to grind to get new gear to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just tjust to grind to get new gear to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear just to grind to get new gear

and literally everything that’s considered a “side activity” is just a grind to get new gear as well…

there’s literally no reason to play this game unless you want to grind to get new gear…

What did you expected, some sort of endgame content? pshh dont be silly, we are on 2017 we dont need an endgame.

Now if you excuse me, i need to make an alt so i can grind to get new gear easily.

Welcome to MMORPG’s. Spoilers: When the end game is done right, they’ll introduce raids, and then you’ll get new gear, so that you can do the next raid, so that you can get new gear, so that you ca-

This is how these games work.

MMORPGs that have a leveling and grinding system employed will always result in the same tasks: kill monsters to become stronger. Once you have become strong, they release new content to make you mediocre-weak again so it’s rinse and repeat till either you or the company gives up.

The problem is ToS doesn’t even have much to grind. You’ve got some daily instances and then like a couple of field maps with really uninteresting enemies and hunting grounds which is pretty much cancer until we get the new cube crafting system.

Honestly I logged on for the first time in a while just to buy a pirate hat for my Corsair then thought “I might as well play the game some since I bothered logging on” but then thought “Wait, what even is there to do?” and just logged off.

As of now, ToS is a grinding gear game (no pun intended to PoE company lol).

That is the only thing you will have to truly work for.

Any game that involve gears and level up are like that, Diablo 3, Torchlight 1 and 2, even Albion Online that don’t have a real level up but a different kind of progression (destiny board) also have to be grinded.

The issue is how that is employed, some are easy, others not so easy, but not insanely hard and boring like ToS is.

Honestly that endgame is boring as hell too, you need a variety of things beyond raids to keep interested if you’re not going to drop game content for 6+ month clips at a time.

Its educational, ToS just simulate how you grind 24/7 in real life :smirk:

I love grinding games TBH, it’s why I picked ToS up to begin with. The problem is they’re complete amateur developers who can’t keep up with content. They stumbled through beta and forced the game out early and now the content is such a slow trickle. We barely get new content, and when we do it really boils down to just new rank, new level cap, a couple new dungeons and world bosses (which are basically not worth doing anyway), and then the only “real” content which is the new top level gear that requires grinding 200,000 of the same mobs mindlessly for days on end. It’s just totally devoid of variety, and the gear treadmill moves way too slowly as a result.

Yeah, they have shown that during a whole year lol.

I agree on the forced release, as for content, if they wasn’t so incompetent, they would had fixed most of the major bugs and introduced some content during this year of development.

Any mmorpg is like this…

That’s exactly why they all sell weapon glow, wings, pets, costumes…

To ease/mask the routine players have to do everyday…

Until either the company can’t release further content and shuts down…

or… yep you guessed it right…

Or until you, the player, have reached the point there is no fun in the game anymore and then you quit

It’s not only in this game, but in every game we as gamers (for sure) have played…

Yeah anyone could call them amateur developers…

But the thing is, admit it or not, we like really like the game so we want to continue playing it… so we push the developers to satisfy our cravings for more content…

Then if they can’t keep up, many call them incompetent…

It’s simple to any game today, just find a reason, your OWN reason to enjoy anything you play. Lose that motivation ans you lose the will to play then we quit…

We are all gamers that surely played a lot other games than ToS before, so deep inside you know you can relate to what I just said…

Cuz it was made in Korea

Cause its a gring for gear game, lol. Like Diablo3.

I quit that game. Same stuff. Easy to be bored at. I’d say worse than ToS? (Personal) haha

I play D3 once a year for couple of weeks - grind out all new content, try out new interesting builds, etc. It’s a perfect time-killer from time to time. ToS in it’s current state is the same. The reason - no GvG.

Build up a necromancer while you can, and buy hats.

That’s all.

Theres things to do. Make a crappy kabba and go do nothing in pvp and win. Or just make a cryo - whatever you want - sage and then make an entire tree useless and annoy people with perma freeze.
