?? That is 3AM in the morning for most people living in the US, considering the server is based in the US would it not make more sense to have a afternoon/Morning time for americans instead of dawn?!?
It’s somewhat understandable that you’d want to have a time where less people are available, rather than more people. The launch time is the heaviest load on the game, and optimizing to increase that load probably isn’t the best idea.
Was wondering this myself. o: Maybe it matches some median time for all areas?
Works for me though, which is surprising. Most game releases happen while I am at work. Although I will have to be awake 6 hours after release. HELLO ZOMBIEFACE.

Cause they are korean. They don’t work when it’s 2pm here. Besides, it;;s 11pm PST and 7am GMT which means it’s only in the middle of the night for us EST people.

Sure, it’s bad for all the americas, but it has good points as stated before: it’s middle day in korea, and not all the people will login at once (although I’m sure a HUGE number will)
Nah, that’s 2pm for IMC in Korea.
If some server issues pop up or anything, we’ll want IMC to be at work so they can tend to any issues ASAP.
This also ensures lower server load at the start, since many people will be asleep. IMC wouldn’t want the game to launch at prime time, because so many people would be logging in all at once.
Lol, 2 AM EST is not 3 AM for anyone in the US. And its actually only 11PM on monday night for the west coast.

Because it puts people off their sleep schedules, I’d have to sleep at a weird time that day so I wake up at 10pm.

Some people probably get up at 5-6am for jobs, would be why I could see 11pm hurting. It would open then and you would immediately want to play. Then suddenly you realize “oh its time to wake up, fuu-”

People camp outdoors in the winter to be first in line for big releases. Going to sleep in the early afternoon is a small price to pay. Video games are serious business, not for softcore civilians.
Hopefully they’ll open a Vakarine server immediately so nobody will accidentally use their founder’s pack items on the wrong server. (“Wrong” means not my personal favorite.)
