Why is everyone who plays this game so old?

RO Veterans wanting to play a more with the times mmo.
Also 20+ can afford pay to play/win games

Yet most of us/them are like immature 12 yr olds.

Just cause we’re older doesn’t mean our likes have changed.Pokemon is a good example,it just keeps going with this age bracket because it’s what we grew up with and still like.

Seeing the newer trends and what’s “cool” nowadays to younger people…I’ll gladly hold onto what I’ve always liked…for my life.

Recognizing so many people’s in-game names in Fedimian from iRO and other RO games is so weird, lol.

Thats cuz the teens play instant gratification fps and moba like call of duty and league of legends. Only mmo vets like me can play a grindy mmo like this lol.

TL:DR Major Derping ahead

I agree.Every generation has it own gaps =p…and it really depends on how much they influence us during our lifetime…

…Games like Super Mario,Pacman ,Qbert were released in the 1980s and some of this games are still being played by these older generation and even introduced to newer platforms and different genres/gameplays…such as the famous Super Smash Bros / Street figther V/ Legend of Zelda: Twilight princess to appeal to the younger generation.

It really depends on how much the developers are willing to innovate and design something unique to appeal to both their fans and fresh blood…whether or not it works really depends on the current hype/market =p

@mishirohidenori You usually sacrifice them to @LoliLicker

@fatedhour depends on how long invest in a game per day… i would rather have a single match of LoL with a whole new matchup rather then a game that requires you to rush the same dungeon everyday…

Sadly LoL / Dota/ Cs:Go or any other of these modern matchup games have either someone who rages and whines… or don’t work as a team…You will only have fun if u have friends to play with… unlike mmorpgs games where u develop a sense of belonging…whether it is being a drawn to their storyline while playing a part in it or belonging to a guild…jsut to name a few…

Why do you complain, the best community of people if not in the 13~18 ^^ God knows ^^

i hadnt played RO but im 28. thought id try this game out, though im mostly playing the waiting game on when they decide they’ll fix the swordsman tree. but maybe they dont see it as broken. if enough time passes, there will be Revelation Online anyway for an mmo.

Dunno if revelation will be another PW jsut with better graphics =p

That age group is prolly playing “competitive games”. I mean who doesn’t like tose games? They can fvk everyones mums. Hahaha

really? its really shocking? like seriously? like omg

ive been watching it closely. and Cryy on his youtube channel seems really fond of the game.

I wonder how some people got to their twenties and still lack such self-awareness that they rant about how spoiled a generation that is barely a spider’s thread younger than them is, to a younger person playing the exact same game.

(also hey at all you younger people out there, don’t trust older people making moves on you ever. especially the macarena)

Also @OP I was curious about this too heh, and also why the community is older than average but still so bad.

The typical age of gamers nowadays is around the 20-30s since obviously in the past we started back then and then never gave up on it. Pretty sure some people who played Atari are still playing games to this day even if they have work.

And yea…RO vet here.

Well, i need a game to relax and relieve stress after work. ToS is the game i need right now. MOBA type games makes my stress level high.

Also, some of the adults here acts like a 15 years old. So age doesn’t matter.

the best and worst community is on all ages :unamused:

This with the mentioned RO people. The only reason I fed into the hype for this game was because it looked like they took RO and removed all the stuff I hate about it. Plus I think the days of kids swiping their parents credit card are less than they were back in the day.

Little kids are playing CoD, Adults are playing grindy mmos and old school graphic style mmos. Generally older players care about gameplay more than graphics and easy play. The older players probably do most of the funding and I can guarantee they usually do most of the quality alpha-beta testing.

I think all this “we’re older and younger people are spoiled brats who want instant gratification” talk is just going to scare off newer players. Let’s face it, we’re not going to be young, we’ll marry, have kids, be busy, finally stop playing. The least we can do is not scare off anyone from the younger generation who showed the least bit of interest in this game. If ToS is ever going to survive 16 years like a certain old-school game is doing, we need the younger generation too.
