Hum…im here for ragnarok and some old games (mostly SNES and PS1) nostalgia like “Seiken Densetsu” (Tree of mana series).
How much can you lift?
We’re the first generation of online gamers, mostly. 27 here so there’s a few people who have some years on me. We gotta go some where and speaking for myself, anything more linear than Tree of Savior makes me bonkers. That’s the direction games seem to be taking now.

32 here. ive been playing and paying for mmorpg games since about 13. “Dad I want to pay for this game. I will use my allowance to get the subscription”. My dad didnt have a creditcard at the time. I mailed physical checks and farm materials on free to play newbie characters that couldnt get past lvl 10 or 15 while i waited for the check to clear, and the game company to give my characters paying time.
I would mow lawns to save for newer graphics cards… fans, memory sticks. I would burn cds for kids for 2 dollars a pop. Always fixing and upgrading my computer so i could play the next upcoming game at least at minimal settings.
at some point in highschool I remember my mom coming into my room at like 6-7am. “get up its time for school”. I was on my computer the whole night. “I’m not going to school, I havent slept”… “have you been on your computer the whole time?” “yes”
I had this whole imagery of “Back in my day…” xD Cute story though.
My parents still made me go to school if I stayed up all night online. There were many school days spent as a zombie…
Believe it or not. the average age for MMORPGs have always been around 26 - 30.

this is mostly due to the fact that most mmo’s ( at least in the 2000’s ) costed a monthly fee that children and teenagers could not afford. when i was in highschool, i knew more teachers than students that played, WoW, final fantasy online and ever quest. hell i would even catch them playing during class time when we where supposed to be “Quitely reading” … clever bastards
most people on the forum are older because its the same CEO of Ragnarok Online which most of us played as one our first MMOs. its nostalgia really.
RO was really popular. especally due rampant private servers. since private servers were available for free, alot of young people where able to play it. we grew up with fond memories of that game and thats why you see alot of 25-30 players now.
Hehe gonna have to be specific there,

See those people who always whine about how hard life is in ToS? Those were your people and now they’re gone. This game ain’t for whiny turds.
