They said steam would handle the prices…why in the hell of hells you think people outside EU/US bought the DLC??
Reginal price is not charity its business and it works…otherwise steam wouldnt be so successfull…
So please stop defending it…There is no excuse for hurting a lot of paying players because of exploiters…

HAHAHAHAH those numbers.

70% of the population

Wow

LOL I find this post very amateurish. the figures specially the [0] was like… :joy: to me.

kid you know what supply and demand is? the only way you can have a token inside the server is if you buy it using money. (oh don’t argue with me that you can buy it using silver on market, ask yourself how did that token came in in the first place?) somebody will buy it because there is low of supply. and since the supply was low… the demand was high.

so your figures are invalid… it lack the most basic fundamental flaw of economics. :joy:

I like that IMC’s post was basically: “Steam adjusts prices according to each regional economy so that the cost is fairer for them, so f*** that, we want more money”.

No their post was the truth.

Why do I need to pay more for TP/Token than other people? They made a good choice of limiting regional pricing to regional servers and not allowing it to be open like it is right now.

“We will be selling them at 50% off instead of the 30% originally planned. The content of the DLC products including the TP amount will not change. Players who have already purchased the DLC products previously will be able to buy the discounted packs as well, since they are treated as new products.”

sounds good to me

Because the average salary for US is obviously higher than that of other countries when you convert those to dollars. Each local economy is balanced so that living costs about the same for everyone (ofc in practice there’s still a huge difference).

Let’s say steam makes it so that everyone pays 5% of the average salary for that country, so that everyone makes the same kind of compromise. It’s an approximation, I know, but it should suffice.

Now if you’re gonna start saying “Americuh numbah 1 who cares 'bout the rest” then I can’t help you there.

I think you guys are up to some psychological scheme on the players with all these screw ups and come backs 1 day after…

I understand how regional pricing works dude. That is not the point

Why should other people pay MORE for LESS? Its not right and this is a better way to handle it.

Don’t pretend that all the people making nothing in those countries are the ones crying about prices here. If you are suffering that bad you should not be complaining about virtual luxuries for an mmo.

Edit - This is why any time an mmo decides to merge SEA or SA servers with for example NA servers it ALWAYS screws up the economy assuming a cash shop is in play.

I’m not too sure about that, remember that everyday foreign exchange fluctuates not to mention that cost of living on different country are not the same.

$50 in some countries is like 1 month rent on a boarding house. while on other countries $50 is like pay for 3hours of work.

why do you think asian went abroad to find jobs? why do you think an Indonesian web dev guy work for less? it’s not that they work for less, it just the cost of living on their country is cheap.

these is why those american web dev are mad out of asian grabbing their online jobs. lolz (americans can’t afford to lower their prices anymore coz they can’t afford to pay their rent and bills if they do)

Nobody said that they’re suffering or w/e. They live just fine, but maybe they’d rather spend that money on something else. Would you have purchased the pack if it cost 100$ instead of 50$? Maybe so, but I’m sure a lot of people would have complained, since it’s overpriced when compared to other offers in which the steam price changes with region.

Now, about the economy, I agree in that there can be some abuse regarding RMTs. For that reason I celebrate the opening of the SA server, and hope they will adjust the prices over there.

love the typo in that sentence.

Your statement is irrelevant towards the one sentence I posted at the end in response to you.

But let’s forget about that, since it seems you accepted the Report Bot function as a good decision since you ignored that one, and IMC adjusted their plans so now there’s nothing to debate over anymore here.

read it ffs…

Again I don’t care about the price difference in regions. I care about the difference in VALUE that each region is getting.

Listen. People outside of those HEAVILY discounted regions are paying more for LESS TP per their currency than the people in the discounted regions. Again those regions are the same regions that if not caught early would have flooded the market with tokens or enchanted items.

What a waste of effort. Nobody needs these types of calculations. Your data holds no validity nor support whatsoever. In the first place its stupid to think that IMC just removes regional pricing and leave it like that.
