Why I will stop playing ToS

Hi, IMC. Frst I want to apologize for my poor english. I’m making this post to show my frustration with the game, and to let you know why i’m quitting it. It’s like a tester’s report. I hope this help you make a better ToS. I won’t come back here. I’m going to list the things that made me feel so bad about ToS:

1 - So many skills, most do the same thing: damage. It’s nice to the player have a lot of choices, but there isn’t actual choices. Basically, most of the skills resume in dealing damage in a different way, some times in the same way. I’ll take the pyromancer case as an example. Fireball, fire wall, flame ground and fire pillar. All these skills have the same formula: stationary skill that deals AoE damage over time. Come on, why do we need 4 skills that do basically the same thing, with just little difference between them. For example fire pillar hits flying foes and flame ground does not, why? I see you tried to make use of the flying mechanic, but you failed. you basically forces the player to go another advancement in the pyromancer class to get a skill that is not so powerfull, have a VERY LONG cd, is weaker than fire ball (you can use two fireballs lv 10 and deals much more damage than fire pillar, also you can move the fireballs). Why? Fire pillar does not make the game play more dynamic, it’s just more of the same… You don’t slow the foes with the fire skills, there’s no combo that stuns, only fire ball apllies flame debuff (but that’s only for pve, only stupid people will be hit by pyromancer skills in pvp). Same for hell breath, you have to stop to cast the skill. How does going pyro c2 or c3 makes it more dynamic and funny to play with the class? How do you hit people with pyromancer skills in pvp, if they can even push your fireballs away? How will you ever use Flare? Now let’s look at the elementalist. What elementalist does: AOE AOE AOE AOE AOE, and there are two skills that act equally: blizzard and frost cloud. THEY ARE THE SAME! Why get two skills that do the same thing, AoE ice damage over time? There’s no combo, there’s no mechanics, there’s only AOEDOT zzzzz… At the other side, you get classes, like linker, that are completly useless to go c2 or c3. Why go linker c2? To share buffs like concentrate or gung ho? And why go c3, the duration of umbilical chord is only 30 sec and the players have to be very close to each other, or the link will break… The only reason to go linker is hangsman knot and jointy penalty. Most of the players get only linker 1. I won’t talk about all the wizzard classes because this would take a very long time, but just let me say that there are a lot of repetitive skills, that does not even combo with the own classe skills, less with the other classes. Featherfoot, for example, have to skills that do the same thing, heal the caster, blood bath and blood sucking. Why get two skills that do the same thing? And those skills are completely useless in half of the enemies and players. Why? Why? What’s going on with your game designers? Looks like you are just making the desires of someone that does not care about sinergy and mechanics, just visual and concept.

2 - Instance Dungeons. That’s is so frustrating. First of all, monsters there don’t drop a miserable kepa stem. The only reason to kill them is the exp, but, if you are 15 or 20 levels over the monster levels, there’s no reason killing them. There are no quests in most of the dungeons. It’s just a senseless space, with a lot of monster that will only give exp if your are between the right levels. What happens is that people just boss rush, run to the boss and ignore the whole map. What a waste. The monsters in dungeon should drop gems, or the itens that they drop outside, or other thing. The boss should drop something good then. No, you run the whole dungeon to kill the boss and get a talt, 90% of the time.

3 - Why there are no skill/stat reset npc in game? Really, you wanna make profit over it? So don’t tell the player that a skill or a class is “hot”, a new player would get it because you are telling them to get it, until it’s too late to realize that that skill is not good. So, the player can reset it, right? No, the player have to pay, or make a new character. Really? Come on. What year is this in the MMO kingdom? Do we need to take a course and learn how to calculate everything to play this game, so we won’t make any mistakes that can’t be corrected unless we pay ot waste time making another char?

4 - The exp curve is so strange. It’s totally ■■■■■■. Why do we get exp cards? Can’t you just make the exp curve more balanced and remove exp cards? What are those exp curve resets at certain levels? LoL I can’t understand this…

5 - Itens. You want to everyone use the same gear at higher levels? This is what it seems like. There is jut no variation that is worth keeping the item in lower level itens. At least make more variations for higher level itens, so we could make use of especifc itens in especific builds.

7 - AI of bosses and summons are terrible.

8 - Why we level so fast in this game? It’s 400 levels, but feels like you can get to 400 in one or two months.

I wouldnt suggest commenting on classes that you havent played unless you wanna make yourself look dumb.
Now think about why I said that before asking me. Unless you wanna degrade yourself further.

You’re a goofball.
The classes are all types of thematic specializations.

You see similar types of damage because you’re picking specialized damage classes who deal the same type of attacks because it is their theme.

Wugushi has a Lot of DoT attacks
but then Rogue doesn’t.
Different strokes for different folks.
Fire Pillar staggers enemies preventing most from attacking.
Firewall zones and deals damage to flying and ground alike while simultaneously boosting party fire resistance.
Flame ground has no Aoe limit but it has a lower hit rate per second then all of those skills and doesnt hit fliers.
They’re all different but your head is up your ass.

You’re not getting to 400 quickly unless you’re a poop socker.

There are a few useless skills at the moment but… they are in the process of rebalancing and fixing class skills.

The bosses do drop rare items. If everything rare just dropped all the time, they wouldn’t be rare.

I agree. There needs to be some kind of circle reset system, but I don’t think it should be that easy. Circle resets should come at rank 6 or 7 in side quests and should not be in the cash shop.

Um… there are usually like 3-4 different types of weapons normal weapons… blue weapons, purple and orange weapons. There are quite a bit of weapons and items.

You just don’t see very many because people haven’t even found half of the items in the game yet.

You should level higher.

Wait… I thought you were complaining about leveling.

  1. I think later some of the skill mechaniks will be changed. It`s just need time.
  2. Its right. Instance can be more intresting and there can be more powerful monsters, coz solokill of boss its too easy and too bad.
  3. No Reset its really good, coz i play RO b4 and its one of the reason 4 play. Its mean every build uniqe and we dont have 1 million same characters.
  4. Exp funny in this game) I more like 99lvls in RO with reset to next class, but in this game its not too bad 4 stop play)

Reach level 200 and say that leveling is fast. Stop theorycrafting like you know everything.

Your whole post is nothing but a theorycraft. Again… if you are virgin but you watch porn day by day, that wont make you experienced in sex and you will remain virgin.

Guys something tells me he’s using a wizard class, I’m not entirely sure though kappa.

Well, current problem with exp is actually bad density and respawn rate, the rest is fine and not that hard :slight_smile:

I really don’t like people like you man. I don’t get you guys. You dress up as white knights defeated by the game and now quitting because of all your babyrage dressing your 50% invalid points and claims as a “report” A report would have in depth talk about each of your claims not just “it’s terrible” or “I don’t understand this”

Thanks for giving IMC some money though and bye have a good time in another game that’s hopefully easier to understand for you.

One thing I have to agree: The dungeons need something more, plus a blocked monsters map to give XP and finally a boss.

And the boss would rather give something more rewarding, it’s okay to have the rare and super rare items to drop the box, but he should at least give an interesting item. An equipment supplied or part of a set, to encourage people to turn in the dungeon and want to kill the boss to complete the set. The level of rare the drop is so absurd that, for me, discouraged me to do dungeons.

As they are now, only serve to give xp and make the player win a booster at lvl, but as a general purpose of the dungeon, no reward at all. Just spend more 20,000 to open the box again and win a big nothing new.

Cool story bro, god forbid I pick a Damage class they should give me buff and heals too. This is why Korean games dont release outside Korean or China, players want a free WOW clone.
