I do not install Flash Player on my Win7 because nothing needs that, although Steam client and Chrome packaged their own flash player, that’s fine, I don’t need to see a flash player in the control panel or C:.
Now I have to install an Adobe rubbish just for the client? ridiculous.
Use what Steam client have had installed or cover an flash player yourself or choose other ways please.

the flash player requirement is Internet Explorer and should be the latest flash player

Weird since the game runs fine for me and I don’t even have IE installed.
I use Google Chrome as my default browser since flash player is already included. I stopped using IE a long time ago.

The Flash Player is required for the patcher only, not the client, and many software/games out there require flash player for internet explorer.
Check control panel to see if there is a flash player, I think you installed it for other reasons long time ago and forgot it.
Flash Player have one version for each OS and in that one version for each browser, so install the one for IE and its done. You dont need to use the IE, but IE browsing system is part of the core of the windows system, even tho you can uninstall it, i think it dont uninstall completely since the OS need some other parts from it.
The only application in my hard drive asked me to install Flash Player is Steam, no matter what it works without that now.
Sigh, its ok, if you dont want to install it dont, but dont ask to the devs to change something that is harmless and you will use only when you open the game.
Yes. Unfortunately, you still need to keep IE on your PC…the other browsers require it to work. I usually just remove it from Pin to Start/Taskbar. Just replace it with another browser of choice and set it as default.
I think most of us do that, i use it every now and then for some testing when my main browser open a page and it come all messed up.
