Why do you lose a dungeon run when you can´t even connect to the dungeon?

Went for a lvl 90 dungeon and couldn´t connect to the dungeon because the loading screen seamed to be stuck. Tried to reconnect by closing the client and opening it again.
Tried that twice. Came back online. Party was disbanded and i have used a dungeon run. Realy sucks, even though i don´t get this restriction for dungeon runs.

So why is a dungeon run used even though i didn´t do or even entered the dungeon?

P.S. realy frustrated with this game in its current state, almost because of dungeon problems.

From what I’ve observed a dungeon run is ‘consumed’ once you ‘connect’ to the instance dungeon, which I think occurs once you started to load into that map. So technically you entered the dungeon, you just failed to load in it, you just got sent back to the previous map because disconnecting from a dungeon does just that.
I’m not 100% sure but, from what I’ve experienced my explanation is plausible enough. Can anybody else confirm?

Solo DG run. Stuck at loading. 1 entry ‘consumed’. Such a happy story. The end.

You can re-enter as long as your mates havent killed the last boss. Just interact with the dungeon matchmaking structure, pick the second option to re-enter.
